Killzone 2 > Halo 3 (the time has come)

There was a time when HALO was king.

It was a time when Xbox was easily more powerful than PS2.

Standards have risen....too bad the bar wasn't reset.

Now it would seem Halo is struggling to keep up with a year old game with a mediocre 8.6

If that gets an 8.6 with LAG FREE 40 PLAYER GAMES WITH THOSE GRAPHICS....

Then I'd don't want to know what 12 room lagfests with this gets.....

At this point my stock is in Haze...I am putting CASH on the fact Killzone 2 will shame the likes of Unreal 3, CoD4, Haze, let ALONE Halo 3.

My words are not the gold standard in these forums but I ask you this...how long can you laugh at Killzone 2? How long can you claim Halo's greatness? How long can you deny PS3 is slowly but surely PASSING 360 in terms of graphics? Will there be nobody accepting the defeat of Halo 3 when Killzone 2 is shown this year?

I agree with you, however, lets not forget we dont even know how killzone 2 looks like. for now halo3>killzone 2 ... but we will know come e3.. 

Your theory of a game failing because of it graphics isn't that well thought out, Halo 3's graphics are better than everyone gives it credit. Resistance is a fine shooter, but I'm 85% sure Halo 3's single player portion will wipe Resistance all over the floor.

halo 3's fruity graphics really makes it stand out. im actually serious, no joke. there is just soo Much color in that game that it just lights up the screen. I hope killzone 2 isn't all dark and gloom like FEAR and Gears of War...

It can be that bad right? Nope it also features a crayola crayon palette that makes the game a borderline cartoon....this style rocked last gen cuz graphics were not as good...with the leaps made however...I can say CoD3 makes the beta look like trash.

No offence to the Lemmings....but seriously....this game won't change much in 4 months.....there are too many issues including lag and I have a stellar connection...but the hosts occaisionally lag games to death....a problem almost non existant in my 900 plus games of Resistance...yes good friend ownage is a sweet dish. 

The only chance this game of not sucking hard is that the Campaign will deliver and frankly I was unimpressed with vehicle combat...

Halo will be much improved from the beta. The beta was just the basics of the Halo 3 mutliplayer. Theres alot of stuff they left out. Also im still willing to bet that the E3 build will show a much more graphical upgrade of Halo 3. Count on it. 360 still has the better controller for FPS, and the genre is still more proven on 360 especially in terms of Online. Halo is still coming in as the champ. Haze will be the contender. Silly cows. All they care about is graphics apparently. Killzone was a pretty game on the PS2, still it flopped like a stinky fish. Which is also why I'm wondering why you're so confident in Killzone 2. First one flopped and you've seen or heard nothing at all about number 2 (double entendre for those who wish). Yet Killzone 2 is supposed to kill this and that.

And it's funny how Haze is suddenly so damn great and amazing. It always looked like it would be a good game and it probably will be, I just find it weird how cows care all of a sudden and hype it up as the second coming.

Another thing that's funny is that since the Halo 3 beta was released and looked underwhelming to some, that's the only game cows compare their second coming games to. Gears of War still exists people, and it still looks better than Resistance.

1) You compare a finished game (Resistance) to an beta (Halo 3)

2) We know nothing about Killzone 2 (graphics, gameplay,etc) So you shouldn't go around using bias, or the corrupt crystal ball, to declare supremacy of a game THAT NO ONE HAS SEEN IN OVER A YEAR!!!

3)Why do we need care about Haze again?

4) This thread exaggerates the potential of certain games based upon interest alone, not on quality or anything else. In other words, just becuase  you like Killzone  and  Resistance, doesn't mean that they have or will dethrone  Halo.  The Underdog can't win against a Giant; no matter what you or anyone else says.

Exactly. I mean, how can you blindly make such predictions when we have not even seen any KZ2 gamplay yet? As for Haze though, I am betting that it will probably be a better game than Halo 3 as well, but of course it will have no where near the sales nor will it have the popularity.

As for the Killzone 2 blowing COD4 away statement....I will definitely take a piece of that action. I think COD4 will easily be a better game than KZ2, and so will Haze for that matter. Although I expect KZ2 to be great in it's own right as well.

Regardless of all the prophecy though, this is still all just mere speculation, as either which way you look at it, good or bad. We STILL have to see KZ2 gameplay before we can accurately predict anything. They could be hiding it because it is not going so well for all we know.
