Killzone 2, Haters Beware (new online info)

I'm just going to skip over all the fanboy stuff here and just respond to the TC.

Yeah, KZ2 definitely looks to be shaping up to be a great game! I can't wait to give it a try. Currently, assuming they are always playing on easy, and thats why the AI always looks so simplistic, it's looking to be a possible AAA game. But thats just so far. That's not a prediction, just me thinking outloud.

From what i've heard from people who have played it, the AI seems pretty clever actually. And it's not uncommon for developers who are demoing the game for other people to turn the AI down a lot so they aren't just dying left and right while they talk and play at the same time (which isn't easy)

So. Yeah. It's a possible 9.5 for sure. I REALLY REALLY REALLY wanna try out the KZ2 beta!

Sony owns Guerilla Games, they made their own engine for Killzone 2, and has plenty of time to work on it about 4-5 years

In addition to the enemies not being diverse (shoot the same dudes over and over), the environments don't look diverse either. When are they going to show some more levels? Halo had tons of diversity in level design. This game KEEPS SHOWING US THE SAME TYPE OF LEVEL.. argh!AHUGECAT

look at mgs4, all they showed in the begining was the first lvl,

but when u acually play it.u find that there are plenty of diffrent types of lvls

Killzone 2 is shaping to be one heck of a kick-*** game, besides all the blind fanboys who bring up the old killzone which was made before sony bought Guerilla Games, Killzone 2 has much promise between the immersive single player, and the amazing online we keep hearing about i cant wait. Killzone 2 has amazing graphics for a console shooter and stands above almost every console game out there, it also has amazing gameplay form almost every hands on review.

What does "lag is caused by bad internet connections" mean to you? I never said the online won't lag. You made it sound like it's the game itself causing the lag, which is not the case...

The game isn't at fault of the lag, it's the bad internet connection.

Besides, the game isn't out, so bashing the game based on those aspects is pointless.

One of the most redeemable features of the first was being able to play split screen with bots.

Did you just say gears had a good SP? THe SP sucked so hard it wasn't funny. Story sucked and characters were meh. Also great job comparing a TPS and a FPS and also comparing a this gen game to a last gen game. Im sorry epic cant tell a good story to save thier life. Iv seen the MP for gears 2 and its ok,but if you didn't care for gears 1 online its not changing anyones mind what so ever. Since its basically the same with some tweaks. from what I remember not alot was out on consoles to compete with gears when it came out. So yea it won by default.

The game isn't at fault of the lag, it's the bad internet connection.

Besides, the game isn't out, so bashing the game based on those aspects is pointless.

What the hell am I going to read? You saying that Sony is publishing Killzone 2? SCEA published Killzone. There isn't going to be a huge difference. The developer plays a bigger part in the design of a game than the publisher. I am seeing nothing different than the previews of Killzone, good graphics and multiplayer.
