Killzone 2 is a boring fps. Halo 3 is far better.

I know, I was merely pointing out to the TC the flaw in his logic. I have both games and both of them are good.

No one plays Killzone 2 anymore. Its pretty much forgotten. I see this on the PS3 message boards all the time.

Thats your opinion TC. Honstly when it comes down to MP halo and KZ2 are very different games. So I say room for both,but I personally like KZ2 more.

I can agree to it but aside from the vehicle segments .. something KZ 2 has as well .. (ok like 2) nothing really changes up the gameplay much. I only made that statement to show the TC how silly he was being anyway.. nothing against halo.

I have halo 1 & 2 and never could finish them they just don't hold my interest. Killzone 2 I like better but I would say it's not the best.

Kz2 is a boring repetitive fps that jumped out of the generic save the world shooter category. Why do ppl keep saying this game is sooooo amazing. All it really has going for it is graphics. The awkward controls and character movement make the game feel frustrating if you pick it up after playing resistance 1,2 cod 4, waw , battlefield ect, ect or any other fps. Why do ps3 fanboys keep saying this game is the best fps on the market. Resistance 2, 1, cod 4 are far better with far better stories. Heck Halo3s opening cg cut has better story then all of kz2

I have no doubt in my mind that halo 3 is the better game between these too (and ive only seen my friend play online for 10 mins and the first 2 cut-scenes, and the gs vid review). Also please note i only have a ps3 and dont own a 360

I find the online structure of Killzone 2 is much more rewarding then that of Halo 3. The badge system allows for changes in play style, while the clan system allows for a great competitive aspect. IMO Halo 3 can't compete

Killzone 2 was slow and boring. Halo 3 is fast and exciting.

One is PS3 exclusive. One is 360 exclusive. There is no co-existing in such a situation.

Agreed about Halo 3 being a better game but Killzone 2 isn't boring, far from it, I had fun with both games.

I concluded last night that Killzone 2 is one of my favourite FPS's of all time. I've been gaming since I was like five and grew up on Doom. I believe that the first person shooter's true spiritual home is on the PC, which has presented in my mind a general bias against console shooters. It makes no difference and that's saying a lot.

Killzone 2 is an awesome game - not for its single player (which is very decent itself) but for its multiplayer. It just kicks ass. It gets intensely chaotic with all the stuff going on, it's bloody fun and you won't find a multiplayer like it anywhere else. Should be said again that the graphics are freaking amazing (for consoles). People keep trying to label this game "generic" when its entirely its own beast. Sure it has influences of modern day shooters, but it is still very distinctive, which is probably one of the reasons why the mainstream hasn't flocked to it in droves. I love the game.

I can see why people are so quick to dismiss it since it really doesn't play like the Halos or the Modern Warfares. If you take your time with the game and see what it's all about, you just might see how awesome it is. Come to think about it, it's my favourite game this gen, hell maybe even one of my favourites of all time.

IMO the sp in KZ2 is pretty lame, but the mp is some of the best this gen

I enjoyed both games but to say KZ2 was repetitive when the ending of halo 3 was a similar driving sequence to the first one where we had to drive to the ship to escape with our lives as the planet fell apart, talk about repetitive.

I've never fully played Halo 3 (only parts of it) and I like Killzone 2 better, and not just for the graphics. And I also like the heavy controls, they feel awkward at first but once you get used to them they work and feel great. Plus I love the cover system, every FPS should have it.

I've never fully played Halo 3 (only parts of it) and I like Killzone 2 better, and not just for the graphics. And I also like the heavy controls, they feel awkward at first but once you get used to them they work and feel great. Plus I love the cover system, every FPS should have it.

Killzone 2 is actually a game which I think would be worse if used with K+M. I don't think K+M could accurately reflect the weight in its controls and it would lose that whole aesthetic. It's definitely not a twitch shooter like practically everything else out there.

When I finished KZ2's campaign I felt the same way I did after playing the original Gears of War:

The lack of a story really dragged those games down for me. Now Halo 3 had a story, but it wasn't as technically advanced as it should have been, starting with the graphics. They looked like they were half a step up from the original Xbox. Both games would have been panned by players if it wasn't for their online.

What I really liked about Killzone 2 was the graphics, animation and the structure of the multiplayer.

But what won me over to Halo3 was the online co-op through the campaign, the skulls/scoring metagame through the campaign, the almost ridiculous amount of game type customization, Forge, Theater (which works in all online and offline modes) and the easy way with which you can share recorded Theater video, snapshots, and custom game types with the rest of the community.

whether a game is better than another is just opinion, however, i do think that Killzone 2 is boring... couldnt stand to play it for very long.

No, killzone 2 actually takes aiming skill, Halo 3 is a sprintless, recoilless slow moving noob fest with boring game modes.Birdy09
