They both look amazing. I'd give Killzone 2 the edge personally, it's brilliant technically. It'll be interesting to see if that game has the gameplay and story to back it up, or if it'll be another Heavenly Sword.osirisomeomiThe story of the first two KZ games here actually good. Now that just leaves the gameplay.;)
Woooo there. Stop right there. Crysis owns killzone 2 so hard it isn't even in the same league. Now your fanboyism is showing. And I have seen that 25 minute video, and I did see what all those post process effects do. Did you notice when he turned them off that KZ2 looked exactly like any other game coming out, even dare I say it Halo 3? Watching that 25 minute video has shown me the textures and how muddy and low res they are. I ca't beleive you would even compare Crysis too that.PowerFiend
Stop. Right now.
The chasm between Killzone and Crysis is a matter of taste. It's not only a matter of style; one is certainly more powerful than the other, but both are evenly presented by comparison to their systems. Guerilla was able to squeeze such amazing visuals out of the PS3, a notoriously non-userfriendly piece of hardware whereas CryTek just had to stack obscene amounts of RAM and expensive GCs so as to give credence to their ambitions.
CryTek knows how to make good jungle textures....Woopdy doo, their urban architecture+textures suck in every facet. Guerilla has proven their artistic ability in regards to utilitarian aspects of gaming; I imagine their work on wilderness should be comparable to their city work. In which case, it's rather telling of their abilities that they were able to produce such a PS3 defining game while CryTek has been working the better part of decade to get their CryEngine the way they want it.
Cow hyped it Killzone2 asthehalo, gears and now COD4 killer! It is a sequel to a below average shooter, stop counting your chikens before they hatch.
Both games look awesome, but Killzone 2 leaves COD4 in the dust! Killzone 2 compares to Crysis, Crysis is just more colorful and happy lol. I can't believe people think COD4 looks better than Killzone 2... COD4 looks like Assassin's Creed, which also has good graphics but they don't have the same cinematic effect as Killzone 2. Besides Killzone 2 has real game physics, not some preset triggers like most Activision, Ubisoft, and EA FPS.iMacBotOk, whatever helps you sleep at night.:|
