I think you are alone in that opinion...it is widely accepted that MW2 is the most casual noob friendly FPS shooter on the market
BlancoBX
lol killzone2 is way more casual dude...on pc no aim assist.
killzone2=aim assist lock on glitcher/cheaters noobs.
you are debating which game is more casual and you bring up glitcher/cheaters as a point against KZ2 when you are arguing for MW2? I can se enow that you have no idea what you are talking about
aim assist=aim bot
modern warfare 2 on pc no aim bot
less casual
I'm going through demos now. MGS4 was awkward and the graphics seemed a bit dated, KZ2 didn't grab me at all and felt generic, Heavy Rain seems really amazing if I can get used to the weird control scheme, but UC2 sealed the deal: that thing is the best looking console game I've ever seen. All in all I think I'm just having trouble getting used to the PS3 interface with all the menus and the controller itself which takes a while getting used to after years with the 360 controller. I'm still on the fence -- I MIGHT sell the system. We'll see...I do want to love it.
How is killzone2 less casual?
u cant even jump and shoot that's noobish.
u cant prone crawl
lol there's less things to control on kz2 more casual.

well you are in the extreme minority in that opinion buddy...and you fail to mention the killstreaks, perks, no weapon recoil and terrible hit detection in MW2 that all also make it more casual and noob friendly
Everyone here knows killzone2 ripped off a call of duty 4 multiplayer map layout?
i can give you their exact name if u want.
killzone2 might have the graphics, call of duty has the gameplay and was a obvious influence on kilzone2.
The enemy animations alone made the combat satisfying and for once I didn't feel like I was controlling a camera on a stick. Floppy_Jim
Have you shot a gun in real life?
the first time i shot one was in 1988 i was 4 years old 410 shotgun.

Welcome to owning a PS3 my friend. Same thing happened to me when I got mine. Bought into the hype and was very disappointed. Use it for Blu-ray/DVD, excellent for that.

Still living in 2006 I see.
Nope, download demos and try them a lot on my PS3. Sorry, they have all sucked except for a couple, well one actually.

Call of Duty didn't invent the wheel, so I find your comment or better yet - opinion pretty strange. Killzone could've taken ideas from nearly any game on the market-- heck it has ideas from Team Fortress.

Granted, it's just a demo, but as far as graphics king of shooters, I don't know. Honestly, the shooting in ME2 felt more satisfying and looked better, and that's an RPG. None of the combat had that "satisfying" feel of a good shooter, all the enemies looked the same, and the whole tone just felt like a Gears rip-off.
Am I missing something? The graphics seemed above average, nothing mind-blowing.

I clearly do, call of duty's gameplay is far superior.

Call of Duty stopped trying to be realistic a long time ago. The reason it's popular is it started aping class customization and moved into the modern era. The drop in quality since Call of Duty 2 would kill any other series.Killzone 2 is not a Call of Duty clone. Call of Duty didn't start doing the type of gameplay the series is known for until CoD4, and many other games have done it first and done it better.
I suppose you'd list Halo as a Call of Duty clone, too, right?

Yeah dude totally owning peeps with that aim assist. Both games dont take skill, but COD never said it did. IDK why KZ fans like to play the game is gritty and realistic card or it takes more skill idea, cause they make no sense.

KZ2 is so a COD clone. With every patch it got more and more like COD. KZ2 is the only class based FPS I've ever played that didn't require you to actually play your class. The classes were nothing more than glorified perks. Call of Duty stopped trying to be realistic a long time ago. funny because those things are the core gameplay elements of the multiplayer...try playing a game where someones perks or killstreak doesnt change the match entirely...i mean its so fun to have someone call in a helicopter to get 10 extra cheap kills after they just went on a killstreak..thats not noobish or casual at all...

here is a example of it's better in call of duty 4/mw2 u can shoot through cars but guess what? u cant shoot through the engine area, so if a player is getting shot at and they take cover behind a car they should take cover behind the engine part.
call of duty's shooting through objects actually changes the gameplay alot.

Then what is it? It certainly is class based. You can just tweak the classes how you like them.
Nope, perfect score.
Only improvments should be better story (but then, witch FPS these days has a good story huh? :D), longer campaign (hmn, trend comming up here), coop, bigger maps and maybe vehicles in MP.
prone crawl helps you take cover behind stuff u couldnt with just regular crouching that alone makes call of duty right off the bat better.
That's a stupid argument. MW2 is as broken as a game can be. I don't care if you can go prone. It does not excuse poor maps and poor balancing.prone crawl helps you take cover behind stuff u couldnt with just regular crouching that alone makes call of duty right off the bat better.
yoyofroyoyoyo
Possibly not, I mean I realize that some people plain hated Killzone 2 (360 Fanboys aside) and there are some who are still using that damn Bazooka to this very day. The shooting took a much more deliberate approach, akin to Bad Company while holding to margin of around 30fps compared to the 60 of Modern Warfare. Personally, I loved it, but it really depends on what type of shooters you cater for. So don't feel like it's only you who hated it, I know of many others too.I just picked up a PS3 -- been playing through the demos available, so far I can't find a single game that really blows me away, (different topic for a different thread), but I was surprised how undewhelmed I was by the Killzone 2 demo.
