There's dozens and dozens of 32 player dedicated servers online in Killzone 2 daily. I'd like to know what you're definition of "nobody" is. I'd say it's extremely skewed from the actual meaning of the word. Hell, Warhawk still has about a dozen ormore 32 player servers going daily.

1.) No one "talks" about KZ2 yet there is a thread every other day literally talking or complaining about KZ2 :|.
2.) If you can quickly fill a room of 32 players any time of the day then I don't see a problem at all.

That being said, KZ2 isn't as accessible as COD and Halo. It attracts the hardcore crowd, not the casual *pick up and play* crowd. I'm not saying it's better than those games for that reason, it's just the way it is. It's an amazing game and my FAVORITE MULTIPLAYER next to Team Fortress 2 and Gears 1 (this gen).

That's for 2 reasons: 1) There's no other decent games worth playing on 360 2) Most of them are teenage boys with paper routes that can't afford to buy a new game HALO

There are STILL 500,000 playing??? Wow, I thought just a couple of months ago, there were only 200K people on, and now people are saying less than 100,000 people on. But the amount is still plentiful. Besides, now is when many people may start to get tired of COD, so they may now finally cave in to KZ2. Besides COD 4 or WaW, it is the most-played shooter on PS3, and also one of the most-played games on PS3. Yeah, I'd even bet it has more players right now than Infamous.

There are more decent games worth playing on the 360 then on the PS3.
I had bought Killzone 2 at launch and liked the single player but I had never really been one to play games online that much. I recently (about 2 months ago) decided to give the online a second try and now I am completely hooked on it. It is really fun, I like doing multiple missions in one game as opposed to just hours of team deathmatch or something like that. The controls are fine and if you change the default button config then it makes the controls perfect. I tried CoD4 recently and it just seemed way to easy, all it boils down to is who see who first, or who sees someone running out in front of them when they are hiding in some building.
And to people saying that no one plays, Ive never had a problem being in a 32 person match since ive been playing.
Hard to compare CoD to KZ2. CoD4 sold what, 12 million copies? Compared to at this point 1.7 million for KZ2. Right there it's hard to compare the online communites... CoD4 is drawing from a much much larger install base. A lot of CoD4 fans also seem to stay away from anything that feels or plays different than CoD4 does. Most like to run and gun, and complain that other shooters aren't as good when in honesty they aren't willing to adjust their playstyle to a new game. Not to nitpick, because games are about having fun and if CoD is all a guy wants to play and it makes him happy, then more power to him. But I have a couple RL friends that bought KZ2 when I did around release, played it for an hour or so, and left it on the shelf ever since. Their only gripe? They couldn't run around in the open like a madman and not get their arses handed to them. They went back to CoD4 and will prolly keep playing it (and a bit of W@W) until MW2 arrives. That's just what CoD did to FPSes. I own KZ2. It's a great online shooter, and quite simply the Best looking console game yet made. The online community is still healthy... I've never noticed any big drop in people online, and there's still new maps coming out for it. If you like shooters, and you like graphics, this should be a no brainer buy for you.

seeing as you use xfire one could assume you are a pc gamer. As a pc gamer you must excuse the low bar set for console shooters, it is sad but its just the way things are. a OMFG BBQ shooter on the consoles equate to your every day shooter so try not to be to hard on the consolites

I can understand your preferences. I'd rather play the PC version of a lot of games out and in the future. But its a fact that consoles offer a GREAT variety of quality shooters, multiplat and exclusive. There are shooters on PC that I want to play like STALKER. Killzone is 32 players, Resistance is 60 players, and MAG is 256 players. One good thing about Sony is that they are expanding the console standards in that regard (player count). - For all we know BF3 could probably be 300 players :lol:.

Only if you consider 100k a week plenty. I bet if you get on halo 3 right now there are more people than that online. shows how many ppl have bad taste for shooters...hell might as well play halo 1....
I quit playing it because GG's beefed up the turrets too much. I got soo sick of getting headshot by the computer instead of being killed by an actual human with a controller in hand. It was really fun for a month or two but once those updates hit I couldn't stand it anymore. BOO TURRETS!
