Sorry but no! I've recently become a KZ2 fanboy of sorts. Can't play anything else lately. But comparing it to crysis graphically just ain't gonna happen!

[QUOTE="aero250"][QUOTE="acemasta21"] did you seriously say that? sigh*acemasta21Did you seriously make this ridiculous topic oh wait yes you did. your a 360 fanboy so....yea.......lol No im normal and as a normal person i can clearly see that killzone 2 is no where near Crysis.
OMG! TC fails at life!
Listen dude, I'm no fanboy, I have all current gen systems. But only a blind ignorant fanboy would say that KZ2 has better visuals than Crysis.
I feel like crying...curtdoggLP5
was talking about dynamics sigh*
feel free to post ingame killzonw 2 pics so that we can compare them to ingame crysis pics.
Also once again some console players seems to care more about graphics since this must be the number 29840871 post that they try to compare xconsole game to crysis
adamosmaki
That's the problem, he isn't comparing the graphics.

[QUOTE="acemasta21"]lol raytracing, pfffff excuse me while i fart...Crysis out class Killzone 2 in everything, your post shows that you haven't play crysis...''PER PIXEL BLUR and physics on particles from gun fire.'' LMAO almost every game this generation does this, you think is only on KZ2? people who owns both games know that KZ2 doesnt come close to crysis. yea killzone2 engine invented deferred rendering unreal engine 3 isnt a differred engine either lmaoKillzone 2 has about 340+ MORE dynamic lights than Crysis. Killzone 2 has higher detailed gun models than Crysis. Killzone 2 has discrete 7.1 LPCM audio that Crysis doesn't. Killzone 2 has physics based WEATHER that Crysis doesn't have. Killzone 2 has ray-tracing on EVERY bullet hole and Crysis does not. Killzone 2 has PER PIXEL BLUR and physics on particles from gun fire...Crysis does NOT..

You might want to overcome games like this before even thinking about Crysis TC.
STALKER; Shadow of Chernobyl.
And yes, you do detect more colours than Gray :P
BoloTheGreat
In no way am i agreeing with TC, but I don't think that picture is impressive other than the concrete at the front of the picture. The other two pics aren't working for me.
And for the love of God TC, not a chance in hell KZ2 displays or uses anything more technical than Crysis. Well, I don't know how the sound in Crysis is or what is used, but as far as graphics goes, not a chance in hell. Nothing on consoles will touch it. Hell, nothing on the next set of consoles will probably touch it.
[QUOTE="dukenukem4life"]killzone2 doesnt even have day/night time cycle lol.acemasta21did you seriously say that? sigh* You're sighing at him? Boy, this is very droll.
Comparing the two games in motion makes an even better case for Killzone 2
Note the horrid animation in Crysis.
You can't talk badly about Crysis because Hermits tend to have meltdowns when they realise that a $400 console has better looking games then their overpriced super rig. And lemmings will jump right on the bandwagon with them since they're still lovin' up on Halo 3 which look honestly looks like an N64 game and they know that nothing on the 360 can compete.
Even though you cherry picked those gifs. Destructible environments > Animation. It actually ADDS to gameplay.Comparing the two games in motion makes an even better case for Killzone 2

Soz I couldn't find any other Crysis gifs. Nobody makes them because the game does not impress in motion (yes I do own the game).
As for Destructible enviroments being better then animation:
You might be right ;)
Destructible environments > Animation. It actually ADDS to gameplay.DragonfireXZ95Except that no game, not even Crysis, has good environmental destruction. Look at the GIF of Crysis of the guy being thrown through the wall - it's not actually breaking anything; the bricks are just sliding apart. The same goes for destroying buildings - you can knock down a tin shack easily enough, but a brick of C4 can't take out a cinderblock wall? Everyone's destructability sucks, though DICE's tech in Bad Company 2 sounds like a good start (apparently now you can destroy a building's frame and collapse it, instead of just knocking holes in the wall). Until someone gets it right, it's still just a gimmick (see Red Faction).
Wow PS3 fanboys are using gif images that are over contrasted? I don't understand what goes in your guys's mind that such weak hardware can compete to a demanding game like Crysis. BTW silenthps basically covered the thread. Btw destructibility in Crysis is better than KZ'2s. Also you guys do realize destructibility is just a bunch of slices, want more? Add more slices!
Killzone 2's destruction is cosmetic and scripted - yes ive played the bit the bottom gif. Its not comparable to Crysis'sSoz I couldn't find any other Crysis gifs. Nobody makes them because the game does not impress in motion (yes I do own the game).

What it does show, is how many physics objects there are in just a wall.
As for the destruction of larger buildings - its a design choice, however such structures are much harder to simulate.
And Red Factions destruction *is* good, as far as buildings are concerned its one of the best around, despite its quirks.
I'd rather have scripted destruction that looks real then have everything seem to be made of cardboard like Crysis. Seriously, tap a shack and it falls down?
Also does anyone have a Crysis gif? Nobody makes them because the animation is sub-par. Please if you have a Crysis gif don't hide it from the world.

I remember there were many Crysis gifs in 2007 when Crysis released, but how does the number of gifs a game has relate to how good looking it is? I haven't seen any ArmA II or Stalker: Clear Sky gifs and they're some of the most visually impressive games this generation.

They fall realistically, and have been designed to do so.
Other than that scripted destruction looks pretty.
That's it.
Any game can achieve just that, and if thats what you want fine, you would be missing out something that enhances a games design. Upon saying that I doubt destructible environments would help KZ2, as with the majority shooters it poses more design problems than opportunities.
Why the hell would I want to post a gif?
You can search all you like, I would rather play the game
crysis is good too the way the crytec locked the graphics cause this is the most various machines can afford but u can see acustom graphics looks on hd like the reality and i think killzone 2 is too pwoerful too but i think these 2 games cannot compare to each other .
What is really funny about these PS3/ Killzone fanboys is most hav never even seen crysis actually running. They use Screenshots from websites lol.
I'm pretty sure if i really tried i could load up, i dunno, say HL2, fully maxed out, go find a great spot and takr a few screenshots. Then load up crysis, lower the settings, find the worst place possible and take a few screenshots of that. Then come on GS or some other site and claim "OMG, HL2 looks better than Crysis, look i have screens to prove it"
I own Crysis, i own Killzone 2. I play then both on the same TV ( 40" 1080p). I dont even run Crysis at max as i have xp and run at 1080p. It still destroys Killzone. In fact Killzone doesn't look as good as many of my PC games. Looks great for a PS3 game though.
Pleas stop this, i actually feel rather sorry for you, you are even using such an insignificant point as gun models to prove your insane theory. lol.

This shows how the Killzone 2 game engine pales in comparison to the CryEngine 2 ESPECIALLY when it comes to physics lol.

Yeah but are the differences really even noticible when you go above 1080p? I really want to know if its just for bragging rights if your PC can handle it at anything above 1080p.

Fisrt of ALL. Are you kidding me? This is a joke, KZ2 could easily do something as pointless as that, any game with a decent physics engine could do that. Heck even LBP could do something as simple as that. Second of all, there is no way that the barrels would even stand like that if we were being totally realistic.(early in the trailer it shows that a good portion of them are HANGING off the cliff).[QUOTE="Adrian_Cloud"]
thats a TECH Demo, why are you posting this garbage?

i run it at 1080p as it looks ultra sharp and as at anything else looks crap ( unlike my Ps3 my pc has no chip to upscale). I run most settings on high, a few at medium but not many, game runs fine and looks jaw dropping, i really have never seen anything close to it, especially on consoles.
