Gears 1/2 were both great, Killzone 2 was mediocre apart from the graphics, 1 was terrible as we all know

KZ2 was horrid garbage that looked purty, but at least it was an improvement over KZ.

GeOW2 was vapid mediocre trash and a step backwards compared to GeOW, but at least it had a tiny weenie little bit of interest with the characters.

It'll be a toss up as to which is the better installment of forgetable nothingness in an overly crowded genre desperate for something, anything, of interest.

Gears 3 will be a lot better than KZ3. KZ only gets love because it's PS3 exclusive, if it was 360 exclusive or multiplatform nobody would care.

KZ3 looks awesome. Judging from now playing, it had the participants really psyched and so am I.

Graphics are'nt impressive but it's a console game.

Edit: I think Gears has lost it's steam (not comercially).

I'm pretty stoked for KZ3. That being said, being that both of these titles are exclusive to different systems, I don't think they'll be competing with each other all that much.

There is one easy way to make Killzone 3 infinitely better than Gears 3 can ever aspire to be: Kill Ricofunsohng

well, let's look at their prequels:

KZ2 vs Gears 2. One of them was a dissapointment to the original, and the other vastly surpassed their original. Can you match up the correct games?

Gears 1 was great, Gears 2 was meh, Gears 3 is looking meh. Killzone 1 was not so good, Killzone 2 was decent, Killzone 3 is looking fantastic. IMO I think Killzone 3 will be better then Gears 3.

I am sure as hell I will enjoy both. I might be biased in favor of KZ because I love the universe, but GeoW series is the only thing that keeps me from selling my 360.

Gears 3 will obliterate Killzone 3 in sales.

Im pretty sure COD XXX will destroy all of these. Regardless of which one is the better game COD will take the sales.

Ok, ill admit, when KZ2 first came out, i played for like 20 minutes, and felt so slow and returned it to Blockbeezy. But now after seeing Killzone 3 gameplay, i just have to buy it. Not only graphics but gameplay in KZ3 are insane. Go watch sum HD gameplay on youtube of KZ3 beta. Like the guy above (not right above me) said , i just couldn't get into Gears story or characters, i mean i like bender, but his acting as Marcus, ehhhh, im sorry, but eh. And the chainsaw gun? I mean i KNOW people TRY to be innovative, but, when i first witnessed that, i knew they were trying to hard. But i wasn't immediately thrown off. Every time i saw my friends play it, i would see the same alien guys (i know their not aliens stfu, dont need to be so technical, i mean when i think of 360, i just thinking of shooting aliens)but i couldn't tell if i was seeing Gears 1 or 2 to be honest. Now look i tried, i witnessed the gameplay, i even played it, but to no avail. With that said, Killzone 3 will win because if its shear insane MP aspects.

How do people even play killzone? I couldn't play the second game for more than 5 mintues the feel of the game was just way too slow, not like gears is too much faster though.

Both games are looking great and shaping up better than their previous entrys, however, has big as Gears is, Killzone 3 will have some tough competition when it comes to best shooter.. From what we've seen of each... the little there is... Which are you most looking forward to?

I'm not even a fan of Gears anymore. Isn't the game delayed, again? Killzone looks leagues better in every way. Visuals aside, it looks like GG has actually refined the gameplay. Gears3 not so much.
