[QUOTE="thrones"][QUOTE="8drunkengods"][QUOTE="thrones"] Because it has a distinct art style, great graphically. It's a first person shooter, Sony is pouring alot of effort into it and also most of the press have gone away from it satisfied. It plays like a futuristic Call of Duty 4 with an emphasis on latch to cover. And it has some of the best sci-fi enemeis in a game.

distinct art style? I beg to differ sir.

I doubt that an inexperienced gamer would be able to identify which one's from which game.
an as far as people hyping LBP, until I see topics on SW other than "OMG killzone!!!!11", I'm gonna have to say KZ2's getting more attention.
Err.. what's the point? There's more to it than that. And have you seen them in game? They look quite different. I mean, they both wear gas masks but the similarities run short there. And art style is more than just the enemy, I always liked the entire vibe you get from the helghast, they're rather different. The Combine have a distinct sci-fi feel while i think the Helghast have a feel like well..Nazis.

can we agree NOW that the game lacks distinct art style?
If not the the enemies then what? Post apocolyptic setting? Because that's been done before too yah know.
I never said it's totally unique, but I've always considered Killzone's art direction to be good and distinct :|
I mean, Gears of War had a distinct art direction but not totally original, something that sets it apart from other games.
