WEll the older kirby games were more hardcore.. some parts of the trailer looks like 5 year old childrens books.. very creative though. Graphically how does this game look better than lbp2?

LBP is in hd soo it's not graphically superior to it, or do you only mean in the artstyle? Fail stab has failed.

so HD makes a game look good? :lol:
Takes more resources from graphics and framerate so yes, the engine will have to be superior. Technically is better, now artistically is a whole different spectrum here. I prefere the new kirby's look better, but the artstyle doesn't make it better graphically. If anything, this threat just brings negateve hype to the game than anything since lbp is very popular.[QUOTE="Half-Way"][QUOTE="edo-tensei"]

art style will make a game look good, and overall kirby dose look better then LBP

No it doesn't, it only makes it look different. Better is a matter of opinion.
..and I'll bet Jimmy John's Billy Club that Epic Yarn will have more jaggies when I play than either LBP or LBP 2.

No it hasn't. It brought discussion, which I want, since this board needs more of it. As for the thread title, I meant in polish. Kirby Epic Yarn is a lot more pleasing to the eye to watch than LBP's darkly-lit and almost mono-chrome environments. They are easier to compare because they both have similar art styIes incorporating texture. I am a fan of LBP (or at least it's premise), so no harm intended. LBP would certainly be better if it had Kirby's visuals. Would be a lot easier to tell what is going on, as well as being more unique and iconic.LBP is in hd soo it's not graphically superior to it, or do you only mean in the artstyle? Disagree on that, artstyle is not everything that make up graphics. Art styIe is EVERYTHING that makes up graphics, because without an art styIe, all you would have is numbers, polygons, and shaders. Believe it or not, even the most generic shovelware FPS has an art styIe. Not a good art styIe, but it is one.Im not gonna even bother looking the new trailer. Cause I know for a FACT that LBP looks waaaayy better than kirby epic yawn. I mean yarn. ReaperV7Because nothing makes sheep feel worse than a cow armed with a bad pun and a whole ton of closed-mindedness. Watch the trailer before making an opinion.
[QUOTE="Half-Way"][QUOTE="drspudz"] I never mentioned or cared for LBP...but you can't deny how kiddy this game looks. People would be looking at you weird if seen playing it. Good thing most people here are lonely hermits.drspudz
well awesome people can play whatever they want, and still look awesome while doing it ;)
i guess you arent one of those
If I ever see a grown man or a young adult playing this game, I can't help but lose respect for him. oh c'mon, its a video game.You can't compare them TBH. Unless you are talking about graphics, then it smashes almost everything this gen, including LBP.
Out of the 2, I am probably looking forward to LBP2 more.

I fail to see how. Technical impressiveness can be measured. Strange art styles can't...
i have both wii and ps3 but lbp has great Art and Kirby has great art and im looking forward to both

how exactly do you measure them?
This game looks amazing!
I love the artistic design choice to it, and the gameplay looks to be great. I know I'm over 25, but I'm a sucker for these types of games:D

Measure is not quite the right word maybe, but their is a fact when one is more technically impressive. You can determine it by looking at objects on screen, textures, AA, lighting, shading, motion blur, frameamount, etc.[QUOTE="Bread_or_Decide"]Uh. no. LBP still looks better. Especially LBP2. Fried_ShrimpNo it doesn't. KEY won Best Graphics of E3 by GT.
You do know that doesn't automatically make KEY better looking.... right?
Opinions are nice. Elevating one opinion over another = fail.

How?[QUOTE="J-WOW"]Why do sheeps keep taking a stab at LBP with Kirby? Cows havent said anything bad about Kirby but Sheeps just keep on bashing LBP.chaplainDMKI guess its cuz only Nintendo is allowed childish hardcore games...
I mean its like wondering why PC gamers care about having the best graphics in a shooter.
I kinda agree with the OP and I also wish the controls in LBP looked as fluid as they look in KEY too.
[QUOTE="elcoholic"]
[QUOTE="Sp4rtan_3"]That looks so awesome.Half-Way
Please someone explain, what looks awesome about this? I honestly don't see it. I think people are hyping this purely because its an exclusive from nintendo and don't even look at the game. Looks like a very standard platformer of which there are dozens on the snes.
Donky kong and lbp look soo much better.
well good taste isnt something you can learn
100% agree with you on that one because Kirby's Epic Yarn is seriously one of the most charismatic, energetic and just plain old fun looking games I have seen in years.
Awesome is the perfect word to describe how it looks.
If a person can't appreciate the imagination, love and care, and pure craftsmanship that went into this game of all games then they really don't understand anything about overall quality and slick presentation imo.
Man, this looks so fun and gorgeous too! I'm gonna enjoy playing with my bros :). I used to play Crystal Shards all the time.
Edit: As for the LBP comparison, the two games don't look similar other than the fact that Sackboys have yarn-like plush bodies :P. If you think Epic Yarn seems like a more interesting game, that's cool. I'm looking forward to LPB2 more, but Epic Yarn is gonna crush Donkey Kong Country Returns!
That's more a problem with LBP's use of physics. Realistic physics and solid controls are very hard to pull off together because by principle, realism and accuracy are direct opposites.I kinda agree with the OP and I also wish the controls in LBP looked as fluid as they look in KEY too.
