Wow really? You saw like 2 minutes of a game that has not been released and you are saying he will be recognized enough to become a mascot? Cows gonna cow.
No, smart ass. Look at who the Director of the game is. The same guy who was behind Crash Bandicoot, Sonic the Hedgehog, Jak and Daxter, and many more PlayStation classics.Wow really? Mark Cerny is an absolute boss.
I'm honestly not very interested in this game (and I happen to love 3d plats) but I will give him the benefit of the doubt and give it a try, he's helped make some of my favourite games of all time (Crash you sexy mofo)
Definitely looks fun, this guy has a very impressive portfolio to say the least. Â I just hope Knack can live up to Crash, Jak, Ratchet, etc.
He's actually descirbed the gameplay to be notably similar to Crash.Mark Cerny is an absolute boss.

Knack sometimes looks like a Mechanized Ganoon/Ganondorf in some of those pics; I think he has potential to be a mascot for the PS4.

Thanks for clarifying about Sonic. He was "just" the Producer on Sonic 2 for SEGA Genesis, which was considered by most to be the best Sonic ever made. He also made the classic Marble Madness game when he was 18 years old. He worked on Spyro on the original PlayStation as well. Here are significant games he worked on, according to WIkipedia. I will never understand Cow's obsession with prematurely blowing their load, every possible opportunity they get, without deviation
Old school gamers who grew up in the N64/PlayStation days, and even the PS2 days will really appreciate a platformer like this. Just reading off Mark Cerny's portfolio of games brings back nostalgia.
Â
Ohyeah, and notice how similar Knack looks to Crash? Same hair. Blocky head. Long arms. Pointy ears.
Â
[QUOTE="KarateeeChop"]This. How many new IP's did Sony announce again?i guess with that lackluster ps4 showing, you can't really be picky. Â :(

More than microsoft has announced in the past few years.

This image looks like a mechanized Ganondorf. There is even a Triforce in the lower right corner of the screen I just noticed.
At another forum, someone mentioned that Knack (in his bigger state) shares a resemblance with Ganondorf from Zelda.Â

DriveClub does look great and that is how actual racing is because racing is just multiple teams competing for first place. This and DriveClub were the only games that interested me.

And I will never understand your guy's hate on fun looking games. Sorry it doesn't have any bald space marines for you.[QUOTE="KarateeeChop"]This. How many new IP's did Sony announce again? I think goal of Knack is to show that Ps4 can handle phisics on lot of objects :> the first PS4 tech demo he showed was exacly that As for mascot.... i would like to see more Kuro and Toro outside Japan :) they ae really coolShadowriverUB
Â
I think Sonys goal of making a game like KNACK is to give the launch line up some diversity.
On Feb 20th, we saw a FPS, Racing game, Open-World TPS..... Knack rounds out the launch line up by adding a platformer that will appeal to Nintendo fans, old school gamers, and younger people.Â
Â
I like it the little I've seen. Looks unassuming but fun and appealing somehow. I could go for a bonafide, solid 3D platformer. Feel like I haven't played one of those since Croc or something. F***ing everyone was making those games back then. They made one where you're a goddamn glove. It was called Glover. Jesus.
Zenimax owns the rights to Croc now apparently.

Lemmings always come across with these high standards when it's a discussion dealing with anything sony, lol but when it comes the the company they praise...they don't seem to have any standards at all. ÂÂ
Lemmings on PS4 "How many new ips did they show? 2 or 3 you say..pff."
Lemmings on nextbox "all they have to show is a new gears and they won!!"
