KNACK reminds me of the 90's mascot days. It's been described as a mixed of Crash Bandicoot and God of War in terms of gameplay. Nice long list of failed mascots. It's too late to have a mascot, Nintendo couldn't invent a new one if they tried. Mario and Sonic worked out because they were in games that were THE game to get on the system. New systems have a much more broad audience so there is no one game that everyone gets. You are a troll. Crash Bandicoot sold over 15 million. Ratchet and Clank sold a sh*tload. Personally, it looks like a pretty dumb character if you ask me. I know Sony could make some cool original characters (Killzone, Last of Us, Infamous, Uncharted, etc.) Nintendo's characters are kid friendly and accessible to everyone, Microsoft's characters are giant soldiers ripping guts out, but Sony's characters all look like Cartoon Network failures (unless, like the examples I just gave, it's a human. Sony's human characters are all detailed characters fitting their setting like Nathan Drake and Cole MacGrath). In terms of mascots, I just don't see this standing aside Mario, Master Chief, Marcus Fenix, Cloud, Sonic, Pac Man, Mega Man, and Nathan Drake. As good as the game is, I don't think this character's design is nearly classic or cool enough to make the cut. It's pretty obvious that I'm not too fond of Sony's animated characters, but I'd go with any of them over this one. It just looks like it's trying to be one of Sony's characters mixed with an attempt to be serious. I really hope they can pull something better out of their pockets. I just don't see this character sticking.

Also have to note that I forgot about Sackboy, he's actually a very awesome character. However, many still see Crash Bandicoot and Jack and Daxtor as the main Sony mascots. But I'm glad others agree that this thing won't be killing off Sackboy.
