Kotaku GOTY line-up. No MGS4.

Looks like another group of respected game journalists dropped MGS4 off the GOTY list. keep in mind some of them are kind sony fanboys.. it got nods for art, and other things. but noticeably absent from GOTY - as it should be imho.

Brian Crecente: Gears of War 2, LittleBigPlanet, Grand Theft Auto IV

Brian Ashcraft: Do-Don-Pachi Dai-Fukkatsu ver 1.5, Bangai-O Spirits, Grand Theft Auto IV

Mike McWhertor: Grand Theft Auto IV, Braid, Left 4 Dead

Mike Fahey: Fallout 3, Fable 2, Grand Theft Auto 4

Luke Plunkett: Gears of War 2, Grand Theft Auto IV, Far Cry 2 (PC)

"Slowtaku"? Kotaku is actually a lot quicker at posting stuff than any other blog out there. Joystiq, Destructoid, etc, are all behind it.

Anyways, I know Bashcraft has talked about MGS4 many times, so I'm pretty sure they know it's out.

ninjaxams (previous account), you've said GTA IV and Half-Life 2 basically stink, yet you really like Tenchu Z and other games. Now, I'm not one to judge, because I also like my fair share of crappy games, but how can you judge others tastes when you (and I) have questionable tastes?

Not im my book. I come here and when people post news I usally seen japan websites or mag,ign or even ng4(or neogaf) I forgot what its exacly called. There are times when they are first,but not alot.

It's such extreme fiction, the creators of Star Trek would blush. and it takes such cheap liberties with characters, plot directions and creates such artificial moments purely to try to create emotional reactions, it's shameful.

Honestly, I've never been a fan of Kotaku's work. The way they picked up an intentional hoax in a blog at CheapAssGamer and ran with it as a news story, and then complained when they got had, says a lot about the quality of their journalism. They're also more guilty than most when it comes to sensationalizing interview quotes for hits.

No problems with their personal GOTY picks, though.
