Lair will make Gears of War graphics look standard by comparison. Killer screens

THANK YOU, SIR!.....I rest my case. The graphics are better than Gears, in that comparison at least. Anyone with half way decent eyes can see the difference there. It will still all boil down to opinion and perception though. In any case, from my perspective...Lair wins graphically hands down from what I have seen of it.

Don't know about better looking than Gears, but Lair will give Gears a run for it's money.

This is Factor 5 we're talking about.

worst case scenario: perfect game to show off ps3 graphics to my friends.

though i still think this game will play awesome as well. the devs have experience in making games like this.

We all want a game to play good, as well as look good, but that is no reason to be so pessimistic just because the game is coming out on the PS3, lol. You know, if people would just open their mind, stop hating so much, and look at the BIGGER PICTURE DOWN THE ROAD....they would realize that maybe the PS3 WILL actually have some great games coming out for it too....not just the 360, man, lol. 

They are BOTH great consoles, but some people just jump on the hate bandwagon and try to shoot the PS3 down before it even gets a chance to fly, and I find that quite sad. As soon as a great looking/sounding game is announced, all you hear nowadays is, "Nope...that sucks, it's on PS3." Give me a break, man, lol. As all people like that are really doing in reality is depriving themselves a chance at playing EVEN MORE and DIFFERENT great games on a unique, and KILLER system other than a Microsoft console.

Believe me....if the Playstation died, as many of you wish it would....you would miss the hell out of it in the end, and you KNOW you would. Think about it....A little food for thought for all you haters out there.;)

Do not EVEN act like Gears does not have it's share of "the shines" as well, lol. As for the water in the Lair screens, hell, it looks like the deep sea with the sun reflecting off of it to me. Some of the best water I have ever seen in a game. (Do not bring up Crysis again, please, as we are talking Gears and Lair here). 

but gears has small evvironments compared to lair, and i doubt as many enemies. lair has hundreds of himan soldiers and dragons. if they can fix the frame rate i think lair will be visually the best game on consoles for a while.AsadMahdi59

No,I don't hate for the sake of hating.I just don't like most sony games,and I hate sony cause they steal ideas every chance they get.I'd be happy if they would just come up with their own,but they refuse to and this time with the PS3....it's biting them in the ass cause the PS3 doesn't offer me anything that 360 and Wii doesn't.Before they were living off their fanbase of the exclusives,but now that microsoft has alot of them,they're selfdestructing big time.

And if Sony lost for good,I wouldn't miss a thing.I'd probably shed some tears of joy cause they won't be stealing ideas anymore.The Dreamcast 2 is coming,and the PS3 is leaving this war early.

I can sail around and fly around in vanguard with more breathtaking views then this game offers.

After my exprience with drakengard i have no love for games that combine dragons and musou fight horde ****games.

Like I said earlier, it is like comparing apples to oranges really, and will all come down to perception and personal opinion in the end. I personally just like the look of Lair better from what I have seen so far. I never said that it would be a better game than Gears. My only arguement was that I thought that it "looked" better graphically. Just my personal preference based on what I have seen. No big deal.ironcreed

The water looks pretty good, but other than that I think Gears still has it beat.

We all know that the PS3 is more powerful than the 360, but the PS3 hasn't really shown us any games that showcase its capibilities yet, maybe other than Killzone, but that was more than likely prerendered.
