Lair will make Gears of War graphics look standard by comparison. Killer screens

Alright, we all know that Gears has some amazing graphics, right? Just check out these new Lair screens, and you will see or maybe start to get an idea of what the PS3 is actually capable of. I have a 360 and a PS3, and love them both, but I lean towards the PS3 being the more powerful and more reliable console.

Check out these screens and weep, fellas. How can you not get excited about the PS3 when they are going to be releasing games that look like this? Just look at that water, draw distances and detail :

Those are EMPTYNESS !!! Gears packs 10 times the detail shown in those pics in each of its levels, sorry but i am not amazed at all, if we see thosedragons flying over some castles and fortests, call me back

Did you not read the topic title? It was the Sony fan that brought Gears into it, not "lemmings". The actual topic compared the 2 games, so your entire rant is silly. It makes you look stupid (not saying you're a stupid person). Read more carefully before posting.

look at this screen, the inviroments dont look detailed and are really plane, the only really good looking thing in this game is the water effects and the way the light goes through the wings of the dragon.

In enclosed environments that is...the draw distance in Lair is incredible. However, until Lair is released, Gears is and will be the Best looking Console Game....stated! No fanboyism here buddy.

Although I agree that Gears looks better, you should avoid using photos taken with a camera pointed at a TV set. They lower the resolution and can make any game look better than it actually does. Then again, one could argue that all screenshot comparisons should use photos like this because that's the graphics you're actually getting when you play them game. 

Lair doesn't look better than Gears because of the BIG EMPTY environments that Lair has compared to Gear's TINY environment that looks way better. Frozen_In_Ice

Well, based on the screens and video of this game, it definitely looked as if it would top Gears graphically. It's still a great looking game on an HDTV, and really is a fun game overall....I should know, I own it.

However, what I find even more funny then me being wrong about Lair topping Gears in the graphics department are all of the fanboys who are knocking the game even though they have not even played it yet, lol. That's typical though. They join a bandwagon and bash a game based on some stranger's review of the game, even though they never have even played it before, lol.

On an HDTV, they are great. The ground textures, and troops from a distance are not all that impressive though. Close-ups of the bulidings, mountains, water, and of the dragons is very impressive graphically. Trust me when I tell you that it is a fun game, and deserves at the very least a 7.0-7.5.

I fully admit that I was wrong about it topping Gears graphically, screens can be deceptive sometimes. Reagrdless though, a 4.9 is WAY too harsh on this game. There is just no way the game is that atrocious, lol.
