Yes because a playstation owner has never owned any other console have they.
funny stuff..the DK level was pretty good, but i think i can creat a better mario level. and is there a sonic level cause i wanna know how that can be done.Burning_Sun
Yea the Mario level is not well done but it was good, people are still rookies in LBP, Im sure there will be other levels and better.
[QUOTE="ONLYDOD"]lol @ RROD level.hopesfall2own30 seconds of pointless fanboy bs. It took me 5 to read that

Do you really think this is the first thing they did?
Wow the jealousy in this thread is beginning so quickly.
so far, looks like it. What are we jealous of? Having no creativity to come up with original ideas? Every video is just making levels based on prior games. tetris, mario, dk etc etc..:roll:Is it me...or does the actual platforming in the game look kind of slow and boring?ShinobishyguyAt the moment most user created content seems to feel like that. The levels that form the SP are much more fast paced though. Eventually we can expect some people to make some real complex levels.
I'm loving the beta. Can't wait for the full thing. :) That SMB level is extremely unimpressive, though.

I cant wait. I'm going to put my BFA to good work with this game. DarthmattBFA's around the house, whats your art?

Its no different with SC4 where everyone makes an Incredible Hulk or a variety of other pop culture references.

HAZE-Unit
Yea the scale of the objects made it hard to platform.
Yup. That level just makes the game look bad. Those little springy platforms are sooo annoying. I think it's just a bad example. There's a lot better levels out there, and they're a lot more fun.

I thought the same exact thing
sackboy is pretty fast...i think it all has to do with the level design. seems like some platforms are to high and some jumps are to far apart, leading to lots of repeats. the early level that are created just are not smooth all they way to the end[QUOTE="web966"][QUOTE="Shinobishyguy"]Is it me...or does the actual platforming in the game look kind of slow and boring?Burning_Sun

LOL what jelousy? I have a PS3 and im really not convinced about LBP as a platform game, i hate floaty mechanics.
The interesting thing is the creating part, but at the same time making a tool set only limits what the creators do with the game
And YES, the first thing i heard fans say is "lets make mario levels", why emulate Mario, Donkey Kong levels when the originals are way better gameplay wise?

The first thing Im doing is making a ratchet and clank level, then levels for my favourite music. I love how you can incorporate music into the levels :)

I feel it's too limited. :|Sure you can create stuff, but can you make weapons, abilities, or other things to do as well? That's what I want to know. Jumping on enemies to kill them is ... limited. I'm sure you can create a giant monster than kill it with some custom made trap too, but can you maybe give your Sack boy a bat, mega-buster, or something?
Also if you can control the game's effects like how high you can jump, or far, or fast you can move, and all that, it'd be wicked too.

its cool designing the levels, but imo it doesnt look fun playing them
Does anyone know if the physics of the characters can be modified? That Mario level looks horrible because of the way the characters move (plus the game being on a semi-3D hurts it as well). LBP looks awesome but the more videos I see of it the more I dislike the way the characters drift around the screen.tm0054im not sure about that, but u can def change the character`s appearance

Honestly, looking at that video, it seems to me it looks better than it plays. It seems as if the draw is to make pretty backgrounds that express the creators artistic preferences and then you just walk through them. It doesnt look that hot as a platformer, it doesnt have that quick, precise and varied gameplay as i.e. a Mario platformer has, that makes you want to play it for years and years.
I'm not saying its gonna be crap, i'l check it out, but it doesnt look like a chalenging game or even on pair with the best platformers.
Not bad, pretty interesting. Though now I just wonder about the gameplay. All you really can do is jump and maybe pose? Or are there other things... I've yet to read the review, just watched the gameplay footage but I'm heading to the review. :P I want this game though, I wonder how unlimited it will be... :P yoshi_64You obviously havent seen the Tetris level, but in there you have a jetpack, you can also make all kinds vehicles, and there are weapons as well
[QUOTE="ONLYDOD"]lol @ RROD level.hopesfall2own30 seconds of pointless fanboy bs.
Come on dude. I have a 360 that RROD on me. Its funny. Fanboys are the ones without a sense of humor.
This game is a case of a really great idea, some nice graphics, and a sound theory. Then the reality of it is that actually playing the game is going to consist of simply navigating a 2D level by walking, jumping and grabbing on to objects. Once you catch on to that, its like you are pulling the curtain open on the wizard of oz and realizing its not all you hoped it would be.WillieBeamish
The fact that its on ps3 is the only reason you're bashing it.
