LBP vs. NSMBW

Please, Mario gets loved because its good but if you have an issue, please, tell it to me in a thought out thorough manner because so far you have told us that we should appreciate LBP because you say so where as some have atleast outlined core problems that aren't "mario is old and not fresh therefore I don't think its better".

I don't deny that but it was incrediblyrudely stated as if all mario fans are mindless drones and it has reached God level to where no common sense can be had. I find this annoying since all I've read about is LBP is in sone other league for reasons I don't even get with no base or explanation.

However, I disagree, while I'm more apt to agree that NSMBW is a better platformer than LBP (because itis) I still do not think baseless hate or love is allowable. I simply am saying that the Mario bash, LBP love train hasn't provided any sort of constructive valid point on this issue and claiming superiority based on virtually nothing deserves castration as far as I'm concerned. When I get some base I will lighten up, until then, it looks like this will end the same as every LBP topic I'm in (no one addressing my actual problme and just saying w/e)

In a sense I agree (LBP is a horrendous platformer, just thoroughly mediocore and underwhelming) but I most definitely would never put that game in the league with Mario. Games like YI absolutely disgrace LBP in every sense of the word. (because I refuse to sugar coat).

Anyway, I disagree Sonic 3 was better than Super Mario World but since Sonic 3 is one of my favourite platformers ever I can easily let that opinion slide lol. Also, props, NSMBDS was a terrible, terrible game.

NSMBW, easy. LBP devs obviously aren't as experienced with the level design that nintendo has been improving on for years. Also, wall jump and fireball are better gameplay mechanics than the "grab". The last time I played, I couldn't even get a multiplayer match going over wifi because the matchmaking was so bad. Whether that's changed after the new patch, I really don't know. Soundtrack in LBP is a bit more refreshing, but the load times and floaty jumping really hurt it.

It is very simple

As a platformer, Mario destroys LBP.

Graphics - too close to care about

Multiplayer - One's Japanese-style (read: no online so you actually play with real people next to you), the other, Western (read: online since you have no friends to play with)
