yeah that would be awesome. That would shut every lems saying forza 3 will be better than GT5. :DThis is what they should do: show the trailer of the game going through all of these tracks, and then at the end, have a racer slip and hit another racer and they both crash into a wall displaying full damage. That would shut everyone the hell up forever. Hopefully the game comes out this winter.

Information has been leaked about GT5 about 5 years ago. This is now the longest in developement game in history.
[QUOTE="FirstDiscovery"]Low-res, replay, off-screen pics FTL Again, its funny how quickly people are fooled, those bitmap backgrounds stick out way more when you ACTUALLY play the game:|Rikusaki
Oh, really?
lems, show me something that can top that. nice find Rikusaki :DIs that really worth it? Its not even that much quality over quantity, as much as flash over substance. And Polyphony's track models are much more accurate to real life.[QUOTE="110million"][QUOTE="FirstDiscovery"]It had 12 environments, Turn 10 made all of them with painstaking detail.Rikusaki

Yeah, those pictures aren't very good comparisons. The last comparison isn't even on the same turn, lol.
To prove that GT has very accurate track models, I will provide you with this video.
actually looking, out of the top 4 rows, the 1st, 3rd, and 4th, the forza track itself looks shaped closer to real life, by quite a bit, the 2nd being argueable. I don't ususally like to say this, but take the fanboy goggles off. But of course in most pics the scenery itself is much better in gt. but as far as driving surface, I'd say forza. the very bottom pic with just RL and GT isn't even close.[QUOTE="Tobin09"][QUOTE="Rikusaki"] And Polyphony's track models are much more accurate to real life.

looks really accurate :shock:And Polyphony's track models are much more accurate to real life.Of all the arbitrary comparisons to decide whether a game we don't know much about is better than a game we don't know anything about, why would you choose a track comparison? Not only do both games feature accurate track models, but it's the only screenshot comparison where Forza will look better. :?

Can someone explain what sets GT apart from any other driving game? I reallydont get the hype.
Rikusaki
The presentation, attention to detail, unique physics engine that makes cars interesting and fun to drive, exclusive tracks and massive car selection.
Ah, hence the simulator....
Well I guess Ill keep an eye on it if its THAT in depth with driving. Any online?
Wont be getting it because well the GT games are just wayyyyyy to much for me to handle. I enjoy the games but lets just say i suck at them, and i am a fan of racing games. But have some friends that are reallyyyyyyyy into the series and car in general and when they find this out they are going piss them selves, and when the game actually comes out they will probley be fired from their jobs.

Yes, 16 player online with the ability to make your own games, form 'racing teams' (clans) and voice chat support.[QUOTE="Rikusaki"]

I'm not trying to be a jerk, but why is this even brought up? doesn't every game have chat support? or is it something different from the usual chat capabilities?

That would be great IF Sony were to show actual game footage. Sony is not known for its in-game presentations, only over-the-top theatrical pre-rendered offerings. Now if Sony has learned anything this gen they would show the public the actual footage from the game complete with model damage and I agree that would silence the naysayers...anything less would only satisfy fans of the series.. Game On...This is what they should do: show the trailer of the game going through all of these tracks, and then at the end, have a racer slip and hit another racer and they both crash into a wall displaying full damage. Each track is listed twice because it was copied from Google Translator and I was too lazy to delete the duplicates, sorry for the confusion.Cool list......well see if "rumors" are true......
But I wonder why Laguna Seca is listed twice....there are no track variants at the circuit and as it said (Not Including Reverse[!]) ..
So I wonder where the BS lies...
masiisam
2D backgrounds = EPIC FAIL GT is a jokeFirstDiscoveryThanks for the info. I just sold my ps3 on ebay thank god. Seriously, i hope even half of that list is true. GT5 is going to OWN.
Thanks for the source TC, I'm gonna love this game! Definitely getting a G25 wheel when this game comes out. But despite all those tracks, I get the feeling I'll still be playing a lot of Nurburgring.

I may not be excited for the game, but 94 tracks? That's sweet.
Rikusaki
Yeah, it's like GT5 Prologue times 18.8! :o
or (37.6)/2 !!! :o !! ahahahahah
93 tracks but how many cars on the tracks at the same time?Well seeing that they are taking so long, I would hope they had that many tracks.

I rather wait for the superior sim Forza.McdonaIdsGuyGran Turismo isn't a sim - it's a driving game. To be honest, I don't know why they've even bothered to allow 15 opponents when you're racing, since they're just window dressing as you drive around the track considering their complete lack of intelligent AI and lack of damage.
Nice 8). I expect for you to make an awesome E3 info thread as well! No pressure of course .I updated the original post with possible exclusive tracks. You guys should check it out.
Rikusaki
I hope we get a Canadian track. Perhaps the F1 track in the streets of Montreal. Mosport International Raceway outside of Toronto would be nice too, a former F1 track. I've been to it, and might drive on it sometime when they have open laps available, *mumbles* and a decent car and money for lap time. One day I'll have that Evolution.
