The games are extremely repetitive....
Running around the same maps, killing dull and non interesting zombies who just throw there hands at you.
Versus matches take a long time and few actually stay for the whole duration.
Game gets old quick.

Ok? You've just described every MP shooter. Or was that your intent? If so.....I see what you did there. The spawn points of the zombies are randomly generated everytime the map loads. Counterstrike, BFBC2, Halo 3 etc are no less repetitive. The games are extremely repetitive....

This is the sort of thing that should go in your blog, it's not really meant for System Wars.
That being said, I completely disagree with you, and in fact suggest to you that the same could be said about gaming in general with games revolving around sport/racing, shooting, platforming, role-playing. Come to think of it, everything can be repedative if you want to argue semantics.
Btw,have you tried the mp of SC2?:D I suck so hard.:P Bronze league?:P[QUOTE="Arach666"][QUOTE="mitu123"]
It's fun and best played with friends, but I can't seem to play the games for very long it seems(unless I have friends), then again I say that with most multiplayer games.:P

Bronze league?:P Pretty much. I even have trouble with the a.i. as well. I suck at SC2 multiplayer too, it's okay. I've learned that it's all about how you start, and your initial build order. People have those down to a science. It's pretty crazy.[QUOTE="Arach666"][QUOTE="mitu123"] I suck so hard.:P

Can't say it did for me. I spent ~80 hours on Left 4 Dead 2 alone.
Probably spent at least that on the original, but I don't feel like logging into my old account to check.
I played Versus almost exclusively.

I wouldnt play Halo for over 800 hours. :| Like i have with the L4D series.

This happens with other genres as well, like fighters and racers, though I range from poor to good with shooters, then again I played them a lot more online too.:P
RTSs are the most complex for me.

I suggest playing the PC version if you're complaining about having to play the same maps.

why would you go to the trouble of of telling us that you think that. Its a good series that a TON of people love, and for good reason. you are in the minority and so that might mean that its not over rated and that YOU perosonally dont like it. those are two different things. dont be an ass and stop preaching.

Well isn't that a bit ironic?Agreed. Many reviewers gave L4Dollars a free pass for its lack of content, saying that Valve would update it like they do with TF2. Almost 2 years later and all it has gotten is 1 new game mode no one plays, and a new map that's shorter and worse than the other ones.

why bother responding to people if you're going to use a piss poor rebuttal that can be applied to your original post:?

L4D is so much more original it's not even funny.
The focus on cooperation, the subtle story-line, the classic gameplay, the humor, etc. all prove this.
Most FPS these days are generic, health-regenerating messes tailored to consoles. L4D is a refreshing break from dessert, jungle and space environments.

one game can be original and still lacking in the fun department...I really don't find anything refreshing in killing hordes and hordes of mindles zombies... Original =/= Better or more funWhat you said doesn't really prove anything, but I agree that most FPS are generic these days, but not Halo, anything fom Valve, and a few more I can't remember at the moment.
this, if you dont like a game....dont play it? just try and respect the people who enjoy the gamesDon't like it don't play it I like the series personally...

while I agree with versus being an awesome game mode. it's a bad overexaggeration regardless.
Halo has fireifight versus which works the same way except non-campaign, the idea isn't capitalized on much in general though. only other game that I can think of that allows you to play as a force slowing the progression of another person through a level is Perfect Dark.

Playing as Elites in Firefight is the same old gameplay as all Halo. Playing as the Infected is a fresh experience, each one is different than the rest and the survivors. Please Log In to post.
