Of course it will, Pokemon Diamond outsold Halo 3. Its just the numbers Halo produced on launch day that were amazing.smack_masta

Pokemon Diamond has been out twice as long as Halo 3. Of course it sold more than it. If Halo 3 had been out as long as Diamond, it would have sold much, much more than it. But Halo 3 is the fastest selling entertainment product in history. It had a $10 million advertising campaign. SSBB hasn't got a chance in hell of outselling it, neither on day one nor in the long run. Just look how poorly SMG sold and you've got an idea of how SSBB will do.

This bet will be until after 6 months of both release dates, where the final sale count will be looked on and then a winner will be determined. Losers must make a thread saying why the other team's game is better at least once a day for a week. They must also put something in there signature praising the other team's game over there's for 2 weeks. If it's a tie, neither team has to create threads and they must put a phrase in their signature saying the games are equal for 2 weeks.

Couldn't have said it better. Plus, Halo is so much better than any other game when you have buddys over to play with.

CoD 4 multiplayer is not "camping heaven" as you get to see exactly where the person who killed you was. Given the quick respawn times, if someone is camping you can just go and lob a grenade or rocket where they are.

SMG is over 4 million copies last I head ... anyway Halo had great starting sales due to the massive advertisement, I mean Halo 3 mountain dew? .. Of course it will stay higher then SSBB for a while but SSBB has the legs to pass it.

Haha, Halo 3 will never come close to what Pokemon D/P has sold. It's just not going to happen. H3 has completely dropped off the charts since its launch. It's really not doing all that well, and from everything that I have heard, it is grossly overstocked, atm, indicating it might have around 6 million in sales, which honestly, isn't all that remarkable considering its current rate. I think Halo 3 has a good shot at breaking 10 million, but I honestly wouldn't be surprised if it never makes it to tht mark.

But Galaxy is still a top-seller in every region. It'll sell quite a bit when all is said and done. My guesses for each region for SMG: Japan - 2.5 million, NA- 5.5 million, Others- 4 million. If Halo 3 can sell more than that, I'd be shocked.

If Mario, the king of the franchise, cannot outsell Halo, then how the heck is SSBB, a fighting game that is popular on the forums, but to the casuals is barely talked about compared to halo, going to outsell halo

Like i said earlier though, i heard that SMG has around 2 million copies sold worldwide now; and that other guy claims that it's only 2 million behind Halo 3's 8 million now.... well that article kinda says he's wrong. SMG sales have been pretty good but not that great.

I will say it again. Melee had the largest attach rate of a game ever. And Brawl has an even bigger fanbase. Do the math lemmings. Sure, Brawl won't outsell Halo's first day sales, but give it a year and Halo will simply be foregotten about as far as sales go (except 1st day sales of course.)

On a totally unrelated subject, did Halo 3 take back the fastest selling game tittle from WoW:BC? Just wondering.
