But both of them were released way before Halo 3 came out and are exactly the type of games casuals like to buy. The whole point of this thread is that SSBB will outsell Halo 3, even tough it comes out in March and is a "hardcore" game.
Games are games are games are games. I gave you two games that outsold Halo 3. I don't see why it makes a difference what genre they're in. Also, SSB is NOT a "hardcore" game, in the sense that Soul Calibur is a hardcore game. It has mass casual appeal due to its simple (yet deep) gameplay and Nintendo-appeal. Melee sold 6.5 million on a dead console that only sold 20 million units total. Brawl is on the hottest console ever with a larger install-base that is rapidly increasing. It has a VERY good chance at outselling Halo 3.
