yeah, well as much as you would really want to, you can't look at GS reviews for one game. You have to take into account all of the games the site has reviewed. Mass Effect may have flopped but then again, there are several ps3 games that have flopped. If you want to look at other sites for reviews about ps3 games, fine, but you can't go and say "hahaha Uncharted got a 9.1 at IGN and Mass Effect got an 8.5 at Gamespot", see what i'm saying?

Cows went crazy when Uncharted and Ratchet & Clank didn't get a 9.0 score. They started using Gamerankings and complaining that Unchart has the best graphics eva and should have gotten a "AAA". :lol:

For the record, I never thought Gamespot to have credible reviews. I rarely even read their reviews. Most of my reviews are read in OXM and Game Informer. For online I'll read http://www.gaming-age.com/or http://www.thebitbag.com.

Gamespots ratings are just they're opinion of the games that they rate. I'm sure there are other websites that gives the PS3 games a 9.0 or above rating so just relax.

Actually I was amazed at how well behaved most lemmings were about the Mass Effect 8.5, there were a few topics but not nearly as many as the fiasco with Ratchet and Clank.

mass effect wasn't a flop, i'm sorry but if you call mass effect a flop you clearly have never played it. 8.5 is just a number out of 10 that some guy has given as a measurement of his opinion on the game as a whole. If you gather a load of these guys opinions together it makes even less sense (i'm talkin bout GR) these reviewers are there to buy your time for advetising figures. they will put up whatever seems most helpful and pump their own opinion in their also for good measure. In the rare event that this is the case (maybe for gamespot who knows?) you should not measure games with A's and use that as a be-all-and-end-all for killer games for a system. MGS got a 8.5 from GS, and a helluva lot of people here think its the best game of all time.
