Lens of truth : Crysis 2 Retail Screenshot Comparison(PS3 and 360)

I've been saying this for 6 years but I'll say it again:

Xbox 360 & PS3 are pretty much equal in power.

LOL, who would have thought that lems and closet lems would be damage controlling a lens of truth comparison, specially after very favorable demo build comparisons toward the 360. Seems the usuals got their panties up in a bunch and are scurrying to find other sources to legitimize their irrational desire to have the proffesed "better" version. Lems are so the new cows... almost as funny as crysis 2 apologists.eNT1TY

both lems and cows change their tunes quickly to suit at the time, it seems lens of truth was created with fanboy wars in mind.... sheesh, the game is as close to identical as physically possibe across the 360 and ps3, it annoys me that some folk have to pick apart tiny pixel level differences :(

the PS3 and 360 are SOOOO different build wise, that it would be a cop out to just state they are "equal".

the CPUs are different

the GPU is different

the type of RAM is different

the only way the systems could come off as equal is if a developer tries to make a particular game look equal

@ Killzoneded, That obviously wasn't the final code, but you're free to live in your fantasy world where the 360 version looks perfect and the PS3 version looks smeared with vaseline.

The argument that 360 and PS3 are equal is the most flawed argument in SW. There's no 360 game to match KZ3/U2/KZ/GOW III and yet people continue to make this claim. Why did the PS3 produce games of this caliber 3 years into its lifespan but the 360 can't do it 5 years in.BigBoss255

to be honest, I don't find either credible, I just play the game and enjoy it; I feel sites like DF and LoT just exist for the lulz

Its not fake but its certainly not "professional" because first they took shot where there was texture bug and in second its just different TOD so 360 version has "less bloom and lighting".In "real life" it actually has tad more because of different HDR,i will post comparison later.

Yea something is wrong with this comparison. Ive stopped both games at the same exact spots MULTIPLE times and compared them...the 360 always looked sharper, darker shadows and better lighting. Ill wait for someone else to review this...You can even go to YOUTUBE and watch the 360 intro and see that when you pause it on the black marine, his sleeve Logo isnt blurry like the Lens of truth picture.

If Crysis 2 does not look and play pefect in multiplayer, then no, not even good graphics can save it from being Flopsis 2.

I don't buy, nor do I know anyone that buys FPS's for SP.

Well it seems both versions are close. In the end though Crysis 2 is the new console graphic king. It will be interesting to see when games like Gears and Rage are closer to release.rybe1025

They definitely fudged up on this comparison. Textures either were loading, or didn't load correctly. The "first 30min vid" shows the 360 version with the correct textures.

That shot kinda suprise me. The PS3 version clearly looks better. Everything else is pretty much same but man you can see the amount of blur.

I can confirm that shot with textures on black guys arm are not yet loaded on 360 version ;) 360 version definitely for me,they do look about identical from very small shots but 360 runs on higher resolution.

This is a comparison done by Robbaz. Shows there's about the same difference between the version as with GTAIV. Effectively none. Although the PS3 version was sporting some nice God Rays like the PC version. Not sure if it's a tod thing, or not.

Please,GCP don't post those MP old shots,they look nothing like SP and for the fact 360 version is pretty old build,thats why the differences.

Anyway,there are God rays,LOTS of them...maybe even to much :D

There is better gif but...eh couldn't find it.

BTW guys,this is what I'm talking about.Notice how different this "lighting" looks compared to LOT comparison on PS3.Notice where sun is ;)
