[QUOTE="theuncharted34"]

[QUOTE="broken_ops"]ign also said dead space 2 is the new gold standard in survival horror games:lol: ExESGO

? dead space 2 looks awesome though. looks like it put a bigger emphasis on the horror aspect than the first.

It's actually more emphasis on action.

It's more empahsis on both really ;)

looks pretty great :)

[QUOTE="XBOXSTRONG"][QUOTE="TintedEyes"] the me2 version on 360 has no dlc includedTintedEyes
you can get the 360 version with all it's DLC for 45$ compared to the PS3 at 60$

sure u can go get it, but it isnt included like the ps version

yup but it's cheaper and it includes everything the PS3 version does

also it's funny because in bundles it's usually cheaper, but in this case buying the 360 DLC separate makes it cheaper lmao

[QUOTE="ExESGO"]Did they really use ME3's engine or was it just the minor updated version we all have?theuncharted34

the mass effect 3 engine according to Bioware.

It's the ME3 engine they're using for the ps3 version. Just think of it as double talk.

how is that a bad thing?? in the end its still cheaper than the ps3 version. heck u could probably get both me1 and me2 +dlc for both games on either 360 or pc and it would probably be only slightly higher total than what ppl are paying for just the ps3 version of me2 right now lol

Let's compare.

Xbox 360:

  • Two disks; must disk swap twice during the 25-30 hour game.
  • Negligible Better performance. (according to Digital Foundry)
  • Negligible Better graphics. (according to Digital Foundry)
  • No DLC on disks.
  • DLC available for download on XBL.
  • Can import ME1 character.
  • Total Cost with DLC: $44 ($20 for original game, and $24 for the DLC)

PS3:

  • One Disk; 5.2GB mandatory install. Wait time aprox. 30 minutes, though results will vary from user to user.
  • DLC included on disk.
  • No importing of ME1 characters; has 15 minute comic to condense a 30 hour game.
  • Total Cost: $60

Conclusion:

  • Both versions are damn near identical.
  • Xbox 360 version is cheaper.

It you can't download it, you can't get the cerburus network pass. Also, they're isn't a ps3/360 owner that's worth anything that can't download anything online. Heck, if it's a space issue, just use flash drives.

new engine is pretty much irrelevant, and I highly doubt its on the ME3 engine going by this comparison and being on one disk and having dlc bundled isn't a huge deal, definitely not worth an extra 15$

Stevo_the_gamer

It concliusion: The best version is the pc version, because it can do all what the xbox version can plus mods.

If you can get that, then get the xbox version.

If you cant get that, watch this ....http://www.lazygamer.net/mass-effect-2-screw-the-interactive-comic-catch-up-with-these-videos-instead/ Than get the ps3 version.

Every other game compear site states the between the xbox version and the ps3 version, It's a tie. Are you upset the the demo's of ME2 are not equal? God forbide that the ps3 get the worst demo out of the two even though the full versions, which are out now, look the almost the same.

lol at cows still trying to talk up ME2 on ps3.

it flopped. 8.5/10. floppage. floppety flop. flopping flopper flop.

its not the superior console version, and even if it was, if you were concerned with the superior version you'd get it on PC instead.

Not like it so hard to get the dlc on the xbox. I mean it take less time to download them on the xbox then it takes to intall them on the ps3. The only down side is that ,god forbide, is that you haveto get up to change the disk twice a play through.

so no improvement, getting the game a year late and still paying more than if you bought it new on either of the other platforms and bought all the dlc = the best version?

I thought the Lems liked being ripped off? Is this Bizarro SW?

[QUOTE="TintedEyes"][QUOTE="XBOXSTRONG"][QUOTE="TintedEyes"] yeah, but you would be getting the lesser console version

well I guess if u think being on one disk is worth 15-40$ lol

and everything else i mentioned, but alright if you say so

ME3 engine which doesn't give it a graphical advantage, disk change is the only thing

If I would have to rank the versions of mass effect 2, it would be - Pc > xbox 360 >> ps3. Because ps3 owners are missing out on a ton with the first mass effect. And when it's a game like this that adds soo much if you've played the first, then I'd say it's a pretty big deal.

[QUOTE="XBOXSTRONG"][QUOTE="TintedEyes"] i get that people might not want the dlc, but it still is included in the ps3 version not to mention the new engine, being on one disc etcTintedEyes
so in a nutshell, if you don't have 60 bucks to spend and just want to get ME2 then 360 is your choice if you have 60$ to spend then your choice would still be 360 and you save 15$

yeah, but you would be getting the lesser console version

i think having the ability to play through me1 then import ur character to me2 more than makes up for any slight advantages the ps3 version of me2 may or may not have over the 360 version

The PS3 version as far as I´m aware doesn´t have vsync on,wich sometimes makes it more unstable than the 360 version. It can get a better framerate sometimes and other times a lot worse.

Agreed. As a gamer, why would I ever take a Digital comic over playing a game and continuing to the next?

PS3 Global average FPS: 29.23 360 Global average FPS: 29.14 again, not anything noticeable

the ps3 version has no screen tearing what so ever (v-sync is on). But the 360 version has very little tearing anyways.

You mean the website which doesn't back up its assertions? Baseless statements in a review only get you so far.

Nor that you read a comic to start that version. No comparison, PC/360 version.

It has? I just mentioned it because Jeff Gerstmann said it didn´t had it on in the ME2 QL.
