Another thing about Amnesia is: it looks like a game where unless I'm told to do things I would never know I could. Like in a video the guy moves a table in front of the door and hides in a closet. I'm afriad that I wouldn't know you could do certain things and would die. I hate games where it's like real life b/c I always find stuff that you can't do, and then I get confused. I never really know what you can't or can do in games like that.DudeNtheRoom

that's the best thing about physics in gameplay! in every game you have them! i like experimenting with surroundings and enemies :)

i agree. it's the only game i had to stop playing for a while. here's a good example a part that scared me. i forget where i was but one of those monster things saw me and i just turned around and started running away, a while later i stop and turn around to see if i lost it and it was a few feet behind running after me and that scared the hell out of me

I had a similar experience playing the game just the other night. I finally finished a puzzle that let me get through a locked gate. Only to hear that blood freezing raspy growl behind me. I panic, and instead of throwing the gate open and running forward, I run left. I round the corner, only to find the hallway is blocked off by another locked gate. The only door I can get to....locked. I wandered down that hall several times, I should have rememberd it was a dead end....but was too paniced to think straight.

I turn around just as the creature is turning the corner. I make a desperate attempt to run around it. I do and make a mad dash for the gate I just unlocked. I run up to the gate and try and swing it open....but it swings INWARD not outward, and I cut my turn too wide. I effectivly pinned myself between the gate and the wall as I was trying to get it open in a panic and got mauled.

I was not scared at all by Amnesia. But I'm not scared by any games any more. Aside from when I'm playing against [GoSu]Leet or KOR.PocKey or whatever on an FPS or an RTS. Then every time I round a corner I'm like "ohgawd it's GOSU" amnesia was more stressful than it was scary.
