[QUOTE="Not-A-Stalker"]No, thats not my logic. You're putting words in my mouth. :|
Liberation was apart of the Killzone canon. It is not a spin off or anything, but an actual sequel to Killzone. Thus, Guerilla refers to Liberation as Killzone 2.
GTA VC and SA on the otherhand, were spin offs.
Ninja-Vox
You're talking absolute nonsense. Vice City was the fully-fledged sequel to GTAIII. San Andreas was the sequel to Vice City. And GTAIV is the sequel to San Andreas. None of them are "spin-offs". A spin-off is smaller project spawned from a larger one.
GTA on the PSP could be described as a spin-off. And Liberation on the PSP, is a spin-off. Simple as that. It's killzone, watered down to something playable on a handheld.
I didn't mean spin off as what you described, I meant that they weren't actual sequels. Which they aren't. GTA, GTA2 and GTA3 are the real games in the GTA story. London, Vice City, San Andreas and all them, aren't canon sequels. Though I guess you can say since none of the GTA games tie together there are no canon sequels, but you get what I'm saying.
Liberation IS a canon sequel. It's not a spin off.
Pie > Cake. Its a fact.SwigGY12
Not true. Its only a fact if you capitalize all the letters in the word fact. Like this: FACT
Okay, Halo 1 and Halo 2 may have sold loads and be critically acclaimed but...it's the unlucky number 3. Have you been to the cinema recently? Shrek 3. Spiderman 3. Pirates 3. However, sequels are always sucsesful - Godfather 2, Empire Strikes Back, Toy Story 2...

But... ...Super Mario Bros 3

Oh yeah, that...
Show me a mediocre movie that had a good sequel. Just one.lowe0
Pitch Black.
Pitch Black was blah, but the Chronicles of Riddick was pure awesomeness.

of course CoR was Better. ;) i enjoyed that movie as well.i think halo3 will be a great game for halo fans, but i dont think its going to appeal to a new crowd.
I think Killzone 2 will do better than Halo 3 because Halo is the biggest title for Microsoft so they have a whole lot to live up to. Killzone one wasn't very good at all, so people might not expect it to be very good. When it comes out it could surprise alot of people. We'll only know for sure when the games come out.

So maybe the film industry isnt a perfect parallel but its certinally accurate. Killzone 2 means that the developers can learn from KIllzone 1s mistakes and make a better game, whereas Halo 3 developers will become complacent and run out of ideas.
My money is on Killzone 2.

Spidey 3 and Pirates 3 bad? Wow...

Have u seen pirates 3? That movie was awesome.
LOL!! Dude, you do realize spider man 3 broke like... all the records for sales?ko_threat
Not all the records no but many records for opening weekend and many others. Plus it beat Spiderman and Spiderman 2 in sales and will probably wind up being number 9 or 8 all time when it stops it's theatrical run.
Pirates 3 is also on it's way to make probably atleast around $850 - 900 Million and may make a Billion like P2

Godfather 2 and 3 were both bad. Empire Strikes Back is number 5 not 2. Toy story 2 was okay but the first one was better.

Lol, stupid desperate cow, nothing else works so why not blame it on been an unlucky number! The killzone devs have never made a really good game, killzone 1 sucked shellshock sucked. its reasonable to say that its most likely that killzone 2 will also suck.

I'm sorry, I believe you have the definitions of "blah" and "pure awesomeness" confused with one another. It's an easy mistake to make.WHAT???????? PIRATES 3 Was AWESOME!:evil:rey06
It was pretty good, just too long,a betterexample to use would have been the Matrix Revolutions. This arguement is still flawedthough because for all you know Halo 3 could turn out to be like the Return of the King.
"Godfather 2 and 3 were both bad. Empire Strikes Back is number 5 not 2. Toy story 2 was okay but the first one was better."
Godfather 2 - regarded as the best film ever. Didn't even mention Godfather 3.
Empire Strikes Back - don't give me that crap about how it's "number 5 in the story" - it's a sequel.
A lot of people seem to be talking about the film parallel I made - what's wrong, can't defeat my arguments so you have to go and change the subject?
I hated Pirates 3 too. Damn you Gore Verbinksi, you owe me 3 hours of my life back.
However, this is silly. Sequels and... threequels? or whatever you'd call them aren't consistant. Lately we've been subject to Hollywood pumping out remakes and more remakes and sequels and more sequels and they're just milking things until they run out of steam. For many things, this is at the third innings. Other things, however, only go from strength to strength and could probably reach 4 with no problem.
Where Halo 3 is concerned, they've been fantastic games so far, with some being a bit dissapointed in the second. I think it's important to realise however that the second seems to be more of... The bridge, between the first, and the third, and from what we've seen so far we have no reason to believe Halo 3 will be bad.
Killzone, however, seemed to run out of steam in it's FIRST innings. It made some ground with K:L, but I don't think you can logically expect it to best Halo 3, though you can hope upon hope that they finally do things right and craft a decent game for you guys.
