its not about giving credit or not, but the PS3 with its still relatively high price tag and the lack of big game titles comparing to 360, and yet sells more in NA ! well thats impressive..

Fact: The wii outsells the PS3.
Fact: The 360 outsells the PS3 in N.A (with the exception of Jan 08) and It still holds an 8 million lead over the PS3 18 million vs. 11 million(Excluding Europe sales since we really don't have accurate #'s.. And don't even think about quoting Vgchartz).
Fact: The 360 software sales completely **** on the PS3 software sales in NA.. And neither system is touching the wii over in Japan.
Fact: PS3 fanboys brag about upcoming games when they don't even buy the current ones... Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword ect... All great games... All have been out for months... Neither is even close to being a million seller(Maybe Ratchet).

2) Just because your mom doesn't buy HD, it doesn't mean everyone else won't.
3) Mothers aren't the target audience for Blu-Ray. My mother didn't buy DVD by herself, she has zero to no interest in Blu-ray.

1) I'm not talking about '1 game'. I'm talking MGS4 as a culminative factor in 'sales exploding'. For example, the casual fan may desperately want MGS4 - needing to buy a PS3. As bad as he wants MGS4, he won't buy a PS3 for it alone. Then he see's Blu-Ray, Killzone, Resistance, Home - and he can't resist.
2) Sales didn't explode on the 360 for Halo 3 because:
a) 33% death rate. The internet may have buried this, but the casual gamer is painfully aware of it.

You think the "Wii fad will run out of steam"? First off, the Wii units sold in the Holiday Season were ample and left millions of would-be Mii-makers empty-handed. The Wii is still sold out all across North America, and Nintendo has been doing their best to keep up with demand, but their efforts can't match the ridiculously high demand from consumers. The PS3, however, is still making pyramids in my local Best Buy and Circuit City, not to mention other retail stores.
No big guns released yet? Don't Ratchet and Clank, Uncharted, Lair, Heavenly Sword, and Motor Storm count as "big guns"? Or are you waiting for Metal Gear Solid 4, which doesn't even have a solid (sorry, I had to) release date? Final Fantasy XIII, as good as it looks, won't make sales rise sky-high. People all across the world won't be buying just the PS3 version of GTAIV; there is a 360 version that looks just as good, plays just as good, and is for a cheaper console that many people already own and love. Cows have been giving us the same song and dance that the 120 million people that bought the PS2 will switch to the PS3, but they haven't yet. "Just wait", I guess. But in truth, I'm tired of waiting, and the clear winner of the console war has already been revealed to me; Nintendo.

Need I go on? The PS3 is all set to annihilate all comers, just like the PS1/PS2. Its barely 18 Months into its ten year life, meanwhile its main competition is already half way through its own, where its second half will be very, very difficult for it.

How is the Wii even considered a fad? Isn't it clear enough to you that nearly 20 million units sold is enough to call the Wii a serious console? I guess something that is ridiculously popular and long-lasting is a fad to you, so by that logic, the PS2 is also a fad. :|

Fact: The wii outsells the PS3.
Fact: The 360 outsells the PS3 in N.A (with the exception of Jan 08) and It still holds an 8 million lead over the PS3 18 million vs. 11 million(Excluding Europe sales since we really don't have accurate #'s.. And don't even think about quoting Vgchartz).
Fact: The 360 software sales completely **** on the PS3 software sales in NA.. And neither system is touching the wii over in Japan.
Fact: PS3 fanboys brag about upcoming games when they don't even buy the current ones... Ratchet & Clank, Uncharted, Heavenly Sword ect... All great games... All have been out for months... Neither is even close to being a million seller(Maybe Ratchet).

And the fact that next to Super Smash Bros (Which looks awesome) there aren't any games worth mentioning (dont even list Trauma Center).

The 360 is already cheaper than the PS3, WITH more games. How is that working out for it? Not very well, it would seem since its lead is only 5,000,000 ahead of the PS3. Apparently, price isn't the issue for the 360 not selling like crazy.
17.7 million for the 360 compared to 10. 4 million for the PS3 (before jan's numbers) That's a little more than 5 million buddy ;).

1) A large part of PS2's success is commonly attributed to the emergence of DVD. It sold 120,000,000 and is STILL selling.
2) Just because your mom doesn't buy HD, it doesn't mean everyone else won't.
3) Mothers aren't the target audience for Blu-Ray. My mother didn't buy DVD by herself, she has zero to no interest in Blu-ray.
4) All of a sudden 360 fanboys are saying it 'doesn't matter'. Can't make up their minds, one minute its 'PS3 is selling only because of Blu-Ray". Now it doesn't matter. Heh.

And Devs get cash by making games people want. Duh. People constantly want games to improve, improve, improve. Lingering around DVD9 won't achieve this. Sorry - but the games industry won't stay with DVD9 just because the 360 uses it. The games industry moves on, it takes no prisoners. Square abandoned the N64 to develop Final Fantasy 7 on the PS1 because of carts/CD's.
Oh so that explains why PS3 games sell like ****! Uncharted sold 300k units after 2 months on the market, during the holiday season, with games very little games on the platform.. :| Lost Planet for the 360 sold 400k its first MONTH! And you believe what the Media is stating? Nintendo might be holding back these shipments to purposly look like its in huigh demand? Or maybe..just maybe its a little easy to find a Wii? I went out to Toys 'R' Us and saw and bought a Wii, and that was the time where the Wii was "Scarce" or "sold out". Just wait and see the falling numbers.

1. Blu-ray never mattered...blu-ray =/= DVD
2. The lead is actually closer to 8 million and that is no small number my good friend.
3. once again blu-ray will not cause devs to not make games for the 360 plain and simple. they will put it on 2 disks just to get it on the platform to make some cash
