So.....ummmmm....why are people saying they don't make new stuff?
Even if you don't like/agree with 10 or 20 of the stuff on that list there is still like another 20.

I see plenty of new IPs.

Ones that nobody has heard of and fitness games.
So we're just gonna dismiss them as new IPs, I'm guessing.
Sheep are like the guy who always says "Ummmmm, well, actually..."
Technically correct, but in a completely irrelevant way.

Just because you don't like content does not change the fact that they have been making new IP's. There are a few things I don't care for on that list, but that doesn't change the fact that it is a new IP.

-How many of those games are good?
-How many of those games had big budgets?
-How many of those games had Nintendo's top talent on them?
-How many of those games had proper advertising?
Nintendo puts all its money and best talent on its big name IPs, they dont invest heavily into new IPs, Xenoblade Chronicles was a rare exception, Nintendo didnt even care about that game.

New IPs are worthless when they suck.
Sheep are moving the goalposts just as much as anyone. They know what the complaint is, they just pretend they don't get it because they can't construct a solid counterargument.Whatever works in your favour, I suppose.

That is a subjective statement. Fact of the matter is that ppl have been complaining that Ninty makes no new IP's(that was the argument). They are wrong.Â

A new IP is a new IP. If you want to change the argument to Nintendo's new IP's suck then I'd be inclined to agree with you on some of the IP's listed on that site. But there is no true answer to such an argument since its subjective.

maybe TC should have put it as relevant IP'sIf you want to change the argument to Nintendo's new IP's suckpainguy1How about changing the argument back to what it's always been: Nintendo routinely puts the bulk of their talent and funding into old IP and neglects almost all new IP.

That's a differen't argument, and not the target of this thread. I'd agree with you on that argument. My goal here was to prove that those who say Nintendo makes no new IP's are wrong. I achieved that goal.

Who's to say it is?
There's such a thing as exaggeration. "Nintendo has no new IPs" could easily be shorthand for what I just said. I think it most often is (disregarding trolls).Â

No you didn't half those IPs are not owned by Nintendo.Nintendo published those games(meaning they gave their own money to have the game made) therefore they belong to Nintendo. If Nintendo didn't pay the money they wouldn't exist. Infamous for example is made by Suckerpunch, but Sony published the game therefore Infamous is a Sony IP. Suckerpunch has in the past released games for the N64. Those games on that list are new Nintendo IP's.Â

"..neglects almost all new IP" implies that they have new IP's which they aren't going back to which is not the same as Nintendo does not make new IP's
"Nintendo has no new IPs " would be the shorthand of "Nintendo routinely puts the bulk of their talent and funding into old IP and neglects to make new IP's."
There is a very big difference there. One statement implies that new IP's exist the other does not.

Um, no. Funding could be handled entirely by the studio with marketing being covered by the publisher. It differs from game to game, so unless Nintendo or the studio say otherwise it would be pure speculation on our part.ÂNo you didn't half those IPs are not owned by Nintendo.[QUOTE="Jakandsigz"][QUOTE="painguy1"]

You have no idea what published means do you? It has nothing to do with the making of the game. Some companies just went to Nintendo and asked to distribute it. Sony Published Infamous? You also add even more to why you have no idea how publishing works. MS Published Gears of War, is it a MS Ip? Crash Bandicoot 2 is published by Sony, why does Activision have the rights? I mena there is so much freaking stupidity here it's hilarious. I can make a whole list of published franchises not owned by the publisher like half of Xseeds games.[QUOTE="Michael0134567"][QUOTE="NathanDrakeSwag"]
