[QUOTE="me2002"][QUOTE="Michael0134567"]crap should be dissmissed There goes the PS3 library. So we're just gonna dismiss them as new IPs, I'm guessing.

Lololol.
[QUOTE="super600"]
[QUOTE="me2002"] they also count wii sports and wii fitme2002
Both of those games are pretty good.

Someone is mad jelly all up in here!!!You have no idea what published means do you? It has nothing to do with the making of the game. Some companies just went to Nintendo and asked to distribute it. Sony Published Infamous? You also add even more to why you have no idea how publishing works. MS Published Gears of War, is it a MS Ip? Crash Bandicoot 2 is published by Sony, why does Activision have the rights? I mena there is so much freaking stupidity here it's hilarious. I can make a whole list of published franchises not owned by the publisher like half of Xseeds games.[QUOTE="Jakandsigz"][QUOTE="painguy1"]
Nintendo published those games(meaning they gave their own money to have the game made) therefore they belong to Nintendo. If Nintendo didn't pay the money they wouldn't exist. Infamous for example is made by Suckerpunch, but Sony published the game therefore Infamous is a Sony IP. Suckerpunch has in the past released games for the N64. Those games on that list are new Nintendo IP's.Â
Â
Â
painguy1
You can go ahead and look at the history of most of those companies that have their games on that list & their relationship with Nintendo. Even if some of those games aren't owned by Nintendo there are 40 something names on that list many of which are games from second party developers.
Â
Â
Let's go down the list: Giftpia: Is not a Nintendo Ip, the creators where even looking for a ocmpany to publish it because Nintendo would not localize it for the U.S. If Nitnedo owned the Ip, they would not have been able to do that. Odama: is not a Nintendo Ip, they asked Nintendo to publish it because no one else wanted to. They had made games on other systems before usually with low sales. Endless Ocean: series was approached at nitnendo to publish the game. I mean, Arika, you should know who they are. Flingsmash: Was an AQ Ip, which was made by Artoon and neede d a publisher as AQ was having hard times, which the Ip is buried (for now) since AQ went under. Dynamic Slash: Was asked around for many publishers, but Nintedo decided to take it, not theirs, Nintendo even declined a lot of their games, recently D3 has been their main publisher. And-Kensaku: Is not even really a game, and I don't think Nintendo really owns it, I would have to go through a couple japanese sites to be sure. Pandoras Tower: Has nothing to do with nintendo, heck, Xseed brought it to NA or is going to. Zangeki no Reginleiv: IS the exact same as Dynamic Flash, desperation is growing. Bonsai Barber: Is not owned by Nintendo. Wonderful 101/P-100 is most likely not going to be owned by nintedo, either way, it's not even out yet. X: is also not out yet. Napoleon: Is not a Nintendo Ip. No involvement. Kuririn: Does not exist, if you mean Kuru Kuru Kururin, it was Nintendo after SEEKING a publisher. Tomato Adventure: Now owned by Nintendo. Drill DozerL Gamefreak owns the rights. That's already 15 games off the list, shall we go further?[QUOTE="Michael0134567"]
I see plenty of new IPs.

Ones that nobody has heard of and fitness games.

Every game that appeared originally on Nintendo systems and was exclusively published by Nintendo have only appeared on Nintendo systems. There is an ongoing trend here. It's pretty safe to say that when Nintendo publishes a game with these condintions, they ask for exclusivity. Rare is an exception and only because Nintendo sold their 49% stake in Rare thereby giving up their rights to the IP's they invested in by publishing their games.

Who's to say it is?
There's such a thing as exaggeration. "Nintendo has no new IPs" could easily be shorthand for what I just said. I think it most often is (disregarding trolls).Â
"..neglects almost all new IP" implies that they have new IP's which they aren't going back to which is not the same as Nintendo does not make new IP's
"Nintendo has no new IPs " would be the shorthand of "Nintendo routinely puts the bulk of their talent and funding into old IP and neglects to make new IP's."
There is a very big difference there. One statement implies that new IP's exist the other does not.
Again, exaggeration.
When people say "the Vita has no games" they don't mean there are literally no Vita-compatible games on the market. They mean it doesn't have enough exclusive games of high quality to justify buying one.
Hooray look at all that filler, and lol you have stuff like Excite Truck and Donkey Konga and Luigi's Mansion as new ips. All 3 of them at best would be spinoffs of Excitebike, Donkey Kong, and Mario Bros(admittedly Luigi's Mansion eventually became something interesting in Luigi's Mansion 2).
I was curious to see the output of the Wii and Wii-U released so far (no Wiiware / Japan only) -Â
Metacritic scores -Â
Ummmm ..... yeah.Â

because they are afaid of what nintendo is capable of that it might move sony elsewhere ,  cause lets face it , no one was able to top sony besides nintendo lol microsoft couldnt do it -looking at the charts sonys just  less then a m back so ps3 will obviously pass 360 but not wii , and even if it did , it would do so when wii has seen its replacment out face the facts , sw is full of sony supporters and less nintendo /ms supporters because everyone knows sw isnt really relevent to actual newsÂ

So Nintendo does have a list of new IP's, but other than 5 or 6 series, the rest are garbage / minigame style / one-game series. I don't know if that's a good thing.
that list is pretty sad compared to sony and microsoftShoulderOfOrionMicrosoft doesn't even have close to this many IPs. Neither does Sony(since 01)
[QUOTE="ShoulderOfOrion"]that list is pretty sad compared to sony and microsoftYoshiYogurtMicrosoft doesn't even have close to this many IPs. Neither does Sony(since 01)List?
Let's go down the list:I put my answers in green.Giftpia: Is not a Nintendo Ip, the creators where even looking for a ocmpany to publish it because Nintendo would not localize it for the U.S. If Nitnedo owned the Ip, they would not have been able to do that. Miyamoto was a producer of Giftpia; Cubivore is a Nintendo IP but Atlus published it outside of Japan; By that logic Demon's Souls isn't a Sony IP.
Nintendo contracted Artoon to make it.
Same as Giftpia just because some other publisher brings it to North America doesn't mean that Nintendo doesn't own the IP.
Nintendo contracted Alpha Dream to make it.
Drill Dozer: Gamefreak owns the rights.
That's already 15 games off the list, shall we go further?Jakandsigz
Though one IP on that list that shouldn't belong is Glory of Heracles since it isn't a new IP Nintendo and Paon purchased it when Data East went under Paon is made up of many employees from Data East. The Glory of Heracles that Nintendo published is the 6 title in the series.
Nintendo and Paon also has the rights to Karnov, Chelnov (Atomic Runner), Vapor Trail, and Glory of Heracles.
reading the list for gamecube and Wii you can EASILY tell how many of those are casual games, mini game compilations and so on. Â Or how they just are not really big quality titles. Â People want characters who are new additions to the family. Â Characters who can stand next to Link, Mario, and Samus. Â
Jeez, the amount of damage control.nintendoboy16
It's pretty sad to be in a place where you imagine everyone is more dedicated to the hobby than most, and yet all they do is dismiss games for being obscure, or immediately label games they've never played as bad.
[QUOTE="ShoulderOfOrion"]that list is pretty sad compared to sony and microsoftYoshiYogurtMicrosoft doesn't even have close to this many IPs. Neither does Sony(since 01) I'm pretty sure Sony has more than that. Besides a bunch of games on that list are not made by Nintendo.
Odama: is not a Nintendo Ip, they asked Nintendo to publish it because no one else wanted to. They had made games on other systems before usually with low sales.Jakandsigzlol
Wonderful 101/P-100 is most likely not going to be owned by nintedo, either way, it's not even out yet.Jakandsigzlol
*long list*Question: have you played Harmoknight or Glory of Heracles? Heck do you even own a DS? Because you really should criticize a game without playing it. Makes you look incredibly stupid,So Nintendo does have a list of new IP's, but other than 5 or 6 series, the rest are garbage / minigame style / one-game series. I don't know if that's a good thing.
