Call of Duty 4, Gears of War, Grand Theft Auto IV, TESIV: Oblivion and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
They are good games yes, but no where near what they were rated almost everywhere. Heck, I like Gears and love Oblivion (with mods), but they don't deserve the kind of praise they received. Especially Oblivion.
Far Cry 2. I didn't play it though I almost bought it when it was on sale a couple of times, but couldn't get anyone to say anything positive about that game. Usually when stuff is 'overrated' I can agree it's rated high for at least some reason.. But apparently not that game :?
Bioshock, Mass Effect, Spore, Resistance 2, Demon's Souls.

i thought bioshock was ok. hell, i only paid $5 for it :P Left 4 dead feels like a $10 game at best but apparently its the best thing ever :roll:
I bought Bioshock for 5$ as well. I think I would have scored it much lower if I actually did pay 50$ for the game. But L4D is awesome with friends:)
yeah i def would of gave it a lower score if i paid $50 lol. I dunno, i tried left 4 dead with friends, we all got bored of it. i like the mercenaries mode from RE 5 much more
1. Halo ODST 2. Assassins Creed 3. No More Heroes ( I enjoyed it but it was not AAA by anymeans. ) 4. Gears of War 2 5. GTAIV ( It had an amazing city but really did not add enough to be AAAA to me. )
Mass Effect - I might take some slack for this one, but I personally didn't like it. Not a fan of 3rd person shooters or sci-fi based games, and that's what ME was to me.
That I've played SMG - It's not like it sucked or anything. Way better than SMS but damn, it didn't "re-invent" platformers. It was simply good. Not to mention people turn into wild animals when ever you say anything negative about it. That's enough incentive to avoid it entirely. BB - At first, I was so hyped for that game. After playing it, I feel that IGN officially inflated the score and had made a deal with Aksys. Only 12 characters, Story Mode is thrash, barely any other modes, and.....well the game lacks content so I guess I could complain about the VA and useless Astral Heats. Really, this game gets so old so fast. BB being better than SF4 doesn't mean anything. All that says is that SNK didn't have enough money to pay reviewers like Aksys and Capcom did. BB proved that 2D fighters today have officially gone downhill. This is a rent-only folks. You're better off not buying the game or into the hype surrounding it. LBP - All this game did was make MMPU look oh so much better. The controls are akward as hell in this game. Don't worry because the lack luster gameplay is enough tp ensure displeasure for those who know they have other(better) options. The enormous stage builder is wasted on what is essentially a lack-luster game. Unless you must build levels from the ground up, you're better off avoiding it. MM9 - Capcom downgraded MM and released a game that is the same price as a PS2 disc containing all 8 original games and 2 bonus games and people actually praised that? *facepalm* No slide or charge. A bunch of add-ons that cost money. Such a bad value. ODST - This expansion pack is the type of game that should only cost $30 at the most. If you have Halo 3, stick with it. ODST is a rip at full price. Hopefully, the prices were already cut. Halo fans can't be THAT easy to milk.
The Gears of War franchise, and Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare. That's pretty much it, really. Although after having played Modern Warfare 2, I have a much higher appreciation for the Modern Warfare series, as well as the Call of Duty games as a whole.
These kind of threads are stupid because people end up listing games that they havnt played. 1- Halo 3 2- Virtua Fighter 5 3- Braid Thats about allmhsdrake
:shock: that game scored wat 8.2 or something.. if anything its underrated especially considering the depth it has....
