[QUOTE="Blabadon"][QUOTE="lazerface216"]ummmmm...no they didn't. hasn't school started back up?lazerface216

So Azure Temple and World of Color are back up?

2 levels equates to MM taking down all the best levels? 2? the fact is the majority of the best creator's levels are still at your disposal.

btw, i don't know if those particular levels are there or not. i'll gladly check for you when i get home.

Nope, most of the levels on my favorites list were deleted as well a huge wave of deletions around its first year after launch (LBP1). I just remember these two as being the best of the best and whenever I check back now, most of the levels are crap. I enjoy the occasional level here and there (some excellent MGS based levels) but most of the user created levels are sh!t. I really don't know why I'm talking to you in the first place. You unnecessarily insulted me on something I have a legit point about and you also think LBP is an excellent game which is an opinion I laugh at.

I'm thinking of buying either LBP or LBP2 to add to my PS3 game collection. Is LBP2 better or should I just stick with the original?

LBP2 is better but they are both amazing games.Buy them both...if you can.

What's the point? LBP2 has everything LBP offer + tons of improvement. If you're not a collector or fanboy then there's no reason to buy LBP1.

I am a collector. But, I also dislike redundancy. LBP2 it is then.

I like built-in editors/custom mission makers in my games (Flight Simulator X, ARMA 2, etc). So, LBP2 is right up my alley even though it has a decidedly "cute" look to it.

Yep, I was gonna say wait for a bundle (high chance that Sony would release one, it's Sony after all) if you want to have both, but games like LBP, the main charm is on the user created content. Each higher LBP edition is pretty much include everything from the old one + new content. As far as creating stuffs LBP2 >>>>>>> LBP. Also, you can avoid the terrible platforming by create different genres.

TC is 100% right, LBP is the best platformer this gen, much better than Mario Galaxy, which is not the highest rated game of the gen either, that is Uncharted.

Wii is a last gen system so Mario Galaxy is a last gen game. LBP Karting will probably be better than Mario Kart, hell you can make Mario Kart on LBP Karting, so LBP Karting wins.

Yes. I do not recommend LBP1 to people unless they are trophy freaks, otherwise just get LBP 2. If you get PS+ you get LBP 2 for free.

Just skip LBP 1 and go to LBP 2.

As a platformer, it's pretty poor (imo). The jumping was horrible, and the campaign levels weren't anything special (from what I played at least). The level creator was nice though, but it's too bad I didn't (and still don't) have a lot of free time to mess around with it.

It pales in gameplay to rayman origins and some DD titles like Castle Crashers, Super Meat Boy, and Limbo.Plagueless
Limbo is super short and the platforming is not great.

Coming from the guy who didn't even hear of Super Meat Boy, the best 2D platformer this gen, until recently.

I don't post here much, is this guy serious? That post is almost completely opposite of reality.

And doing a horrid job at it to boot. That SMB3 and Sonic 2 gameplay was disturbingly bad. I don't blame the users, they probably did the best they could given the tools, but why would anybody play that sh*t when they can go enjoy the real versions of those games.
