The elite failed to me because it won't include the 65mm chipset. When it includes it we'll talk. Anyways no one is forcing anyone to buy it but yea many ppl who own a 360 will want the ''new 360'' when they see it on shelves, specially casuals.
You do realize that 90% of all 360 owners will never need the 120 gig HDD. Unless you plan on buying movies off XBL and using IPTV you don't need a 120gig HDD.

Its not a good deal. The ps3 at its best is better because ur forgetting about the included wifi which I use. M$ screwed us over in a way. I baught my 360 at launch but right now im pretty dissapointed that they would do this just after the first year. If the upgrades werent so expensive then it would be okay but $180 for a HDD, I would rather buy myself a nintendo DS. The HDD is the only thing that interested me but that price is just too much.

You know you haven't even tried to post decently. you were more of a propaganda poster than anything. Most of your threads like this one tried to take an announcement and slant into a negative direction when there is nothing negative about it.
That's the point. You don't HAVE to upgrade. The premium is still the predominate retail unit, and unless you're dead set on keeping recycled trailers and demos which you can re-download at any time, you don't need the bigger hard drive. While nice, it isn't necessary unless you're a bit of a technophile and/or you want the IPTV feature. In any case, this doesn't seem like any detriment to Microsoft and does nothing but set them at a greater position of equivalency with the PS3.

um its just another option people can buy to play 360 games. every 360 plays games, but each one is suited better for a different kind of gamer. I have an HDTV without HDMI, and no wifi, why would i get something plike the PS3 that gives me things i dont need. thats like having a tandom bike and no friends.
