I happen to think the original pic was promising and will look great in motion.

But its utterly pathetic to see the sony fanboys, try to kid themselves that its just a poster because it doesnt look 5 times better than "teh xflop1.5"

trully the most demented thread in the history of system wars.

[QUOTE="jdp0412"]ok...if the one with the tape is fake how do we know the real picture is of a poster in game?proof11102

lemming logic = the bad one is the real one.

fact is, they both are real.

another thing to look at (people have such limited preception) Look at the position of the scope and the wall on the, so-called, real pic...see where it is almost at the level of the birck trim in of the poster? Now look at it in the, so-called, fake pic...see where that same scope site is almost at the very top of that section of the wall of that poster?

I think lemmings are desperate to try an believe that one of these pictures is fake (the good one) and one is real (the bad one) to try and make themselves feel better before E3....and that's exactly what Sony and the killzone devs want them to do. :? I guess it's working.

What's your response to the overlay. It looks like it's at the exact same angle to have been cut and moved.

It's a fact eh....lems are desperate eh.....how do we know it's not equally as likely that it's fake and cows are getting desperate?

The section of the wall is exactly the same in both images. There's no evidence of tape in the original shot, there's no second screenshot on any official site, and the only difference in the weapon position seems to be it stretched over slightly. Until Guerilla say it's a poster, the wall shot is a photoshop and the game looks like ass.

Here is the gun overlay.

nnavidson

Thank you.

This pretty much gaurantees it's fake. I still think it was an impressive fake though.

whatever dude.

you're just going to be in damage control tomorrow when you find out that I was right and just say something like "It don't look dat great anyway".

I mean, how stupid can you be? LOOK AT THE FRECKING LEFT SIDE OF THIS PICTURE. It clearly shows where a portion of the pictureis beginning to be faded away. It all makes sence if you think about it once you look at the second pic. Are you trying to suggest that that left part of the picture is part of the room?

You people are either really desperat or really slow...perhaps both.

No one is pulling a Criss Angel here. It's an ingame picture of the player "looking" at a poster on a brick wall. Then he shoots the poster on the brick wall. The second picture is zoomed in. KZ1 had a zoom-in feature on all weapons, and I'm pretty certain it's in use here.

Exactly! The reason the gun is in a different position is because the player has moved the aiming reticule (and zoomed in). It's all in-game though.

Ah yes, the good ol' "I'LL BE BAAAAAAAAAAACK" response. Really, I doubt if a poster was fraying it would all decay on just one side. You have no evidence of the wall shot being real apart form your word for it, and quite a few people have evidence that it's fake. We could say you're the desperate and slow one here.....

I'm actually a proud PS3 owner that thinks the original image looks good. I'm hoping the graphics edge is seen in the motion.

I don't see why the brick picture couldn't be photoshopped.

Also, does anybody not see that the freakin bullet hole on the poster is in the same exact spot on both pics. The player shoots the poster, then zooms in slightly moving the crosshair.

This is really confusing, because the Killzone dev won't debunk the poster picture, yet he has debunked all the other fake screenshots posted in that thread.

Look do you really think they will kill 2 years of hype with a PICTURE?
i mean putting a in game poster up on the internet and saying its real-time is freakin genius because posters tend to look really bad in video games (max payne subway lvl),and when every one is saying OMG TEH HORRIBLE SCREEN! they will show the real stuff and every one will be in AWE.

Q: My guess would be that this particular shot was taken at the exact moment the gun was fired, hence the lighting of the model and the shadow, correct me if I'm wrong pls. Also I would like to say that I really like the worn-out look of the paint inthe wall. More power to GG and hope to see more of this aweome game at E3.

A: It was taken the moment one bullet hit the wall just next to him.

Q: That would mean that the room was originally dark right? Was the light source the bullet impact? If so, props for the lighting. I have another question, I'll understand if you can't answer it right now. Can you confirm that there will be destructible environments, and how much? Thanks for answering our questions.

A: Yes that room is pretty dark to begin with. And the light source is from the muzzle-flash. It looks a lot better in movement. As for the rest, no comment at this stage.

What's your response to the overlay. It looks like it's at the exact same angle to have been cut and moved.

Well...How about It's not an overlay?

1. They left the gun position is the same position as in the second pic, which dosen't show the change in position from one pic to the next

2. If you look at the was behind the scope site in both pics you'll notice that they are diffrent pisitions.

3. I already mentioned the fact that the is aming at the heist in one pic and covering him in the other. The overlay was done by a lemming. a true overlay would show the diffrence in position of one pic compaired to the other. This guy tried to make them look the same when they are not.

4. Why don't just look at the full pics of both images at the same time...if you pay attentinon to the things I've mentioned you could clearly see they are diffrent and both real.

5. I'm not here to convince you, I'm just letting everyone know what I spotted. If this was a simple photoshop the positions of the gun woul not be diffrent. Seriouly you people who are desperat for this game to look bad are going to get owned hard tomorrow. GG isn't telling everyone that this game is going to be a system seller for nothing.

That was before the new picture was posted, I was certain it was fake as well, but I'm starting to wonder when the dev won't debunk it like the other ones.

When the picture had been posted and everyone was going crazy, all he did was pop in to say "Anyone picked up a copy of USA Today yet?".

Anyway, we'll soon see.

From analyzing the pictures thorougly I've come up with this personal conclusion:

The player is looking at a poster of a Helghast being shot at (which explains the muzzle flash and bullet hole). But the actual gun in the poster has been removed.

The player never actually "shot" the poster. Notice how the orange glow and the shadow are in the exact same positions on both pics.

es, the original picture was resized consistantly to give the impression it was a poster. It'd still be in the same position as long as it was resized at a constant rate. I'd think the scope on the rifle would be a big enough give away. It's the exact same texture pattern as the original picture apart from it appears to be stretched out. Oddly enough, the gun being in a different position looks more like the gun's been stretched and blured to give that impression.

Hmm :? that's strange.

He says the light source is comming from the muzzle flash...lol. EVERYONE, let me ask you...which way is the muzzle pointing? It is on the right side right? then why is the light source all worng. From the position of the gun all of the shadow from the light of the muzzle (if the gun is even being shot) should be on the left side, but It's not it's all on the right.

also why dose it look like the Heist is shooting towards an enemy on the LEFT side (where the light source seems to be comming from ) if you are right there standing in his face to the right?

Someone has gone through alot of trouble of confusing us But at least I think I've figured out what's going on, lol.

Well all signs point to fake but I don't have enough information about image editing to prove it beyond a reasonable doubt. THe poster who mentioned that the gun is stretched and blurred to make it appear at a different angle is correct though from what I could see uing ms paint.

well...

anyway, if the guy holding the weapon (the player's character) shot his weapon, then the shadow of the enemy was cast in the wrong direction...

that's true... but we don't know what's really going on there.

i think the person who showed the pic to the public just wants to play with us, since Sony's presentation is tomorrow, and they have a lot to show.

a pic wouldn't be leaked by accident one day before that, they managed to keep everything secret for more than 2 whole years.

All you need to konw to Debunk the Killzone pictures.

The dev said the light source was comming from the muzzle of "the gun".

1. where whould the light have to be comming from to make a shadow on the right side?

2. On what side is the player in the picture standing?

3. where is the heist in the picute aiming his gun? (hint, it's thesame placethat the light source is comming from)

Last note: the dev never said the gun he was referring to was the one what you are seeing in that picture!!!

Screen shots are not a real representation of the actual game.

Bravo. Even though this has been proven several times already, this should finally show the PS3 fanboys defeat.

Im going to wait to see the game in motion. Screen shots are not a real representation of the actual game.

Well, at least I wasn't the only one who seen that ;)

I think there's a lot more evidence going against this thread than there is for it, so how do we all conclude?

I've wasted so much time to prove this beyond argument. Oh well.

Same here I guess, although most may assume that the poster shot is fake.

good post

i thought i had already proven it with the logical arguments taken from a guy from guerilla (talking about muzzle flash lighting the room, bullet holes etc)

but of course logic is futile on these boards

your post should convince a few people tho

(at least i hope so)
