LOL Konami and Kojima have fooled EVERYONE! (Must Read)

Raidens story sounds pretty meh IMO (going to area 51 and rescuing sunny, getting cought and being augmented, escaping). Hope it will be good.

Everybody out there thinks MGS is going multiplatform, well is it? I don't think so. How can MGS Rising even be considered a MGS game, think about it. Hideo Kojima is not writing the story for it, Solid Snake is not the main character. And also so far every mgs game has been labeled "tactical espionage game". But MGS rising is labeled "Lightning bolt action" meaning gameplay wise it will be completely different from previous mgs games, there probably won't even be any sneaking or stealth action in the game at all. And if you watched the Sony press conference at E3 with Kojima, he himself said he is writing the story for mgs peace walker. And "it will be the next sequal in the mgs series", it will be featuring Big Boss, and it takes place 10 years after mgs3. And you guys are probably wondering, "well why put mgs rising on 360 and pc to begin with, why not just make it exclusive to ps3?". Well the answer is quite simple, its all about the money. The game that every 360 has wanted to play is the mgs series, well now they have it, OR DO THEY LOL! MGS Rising is going to be an action adventure game, that will feature a character from the MGS series (Raiden). And they named the game "Metal Gear Solid" just so people will think its an actual metal gear game and the will go out and buy it. Cuz they know the name it self "Metal Gear" will make it sell, even if it has nothing to do with the series at all. Just like everyone else I was TICKED off at Kojima and Konami for putting MGS on 360 and PC, but now that I think about it, its not even Metal Gear, so why get so upset.

All that you say trying to disconnect MGS:R from MGS is invalid.

1. Whether Kojima directs the game or not is a non-issue. This is an MGS game

2. Whether Snake is the main character or not is a non-issue. The "Solid" in Metal Gear Solid was a term added to the series to describe the 3D graphics of the game.

3. Both the Kojipro Podcast and the ending of the MGS:R trailer call this game a stealth game. (Note: Sneak In.)

4. You know nothing about the game. Don't automatically label it an "action-adventure" game when you haven't even seen the first second of gameplay.

5. Why should you even get upset if MGS is multiplat? Most games in the Metal Gear series have not been PlayStation exclusives. Besides, the more systems this game is on, the more people can enjoy it.

This is a multiplat MGS game. Sour grapes mean nothing.

I love how the 360 fans are all happy about this game after they bashed MGS4 to high heaven...and the Sony fans are dismissing this as just a spin off and not a "REAL" MGS experience. :PAAllxxjjnn

My initial response to hearing about this game on the 360:

"Now watch all the ps3 fans turn their back on the MGS franchise".

If this game was ps3 exclusive it would be "teh owange". But since it's going to be out on the 360, all of a sudden it's not a real part of the series and we've all been fooled.

MGSR, I do not care for Halo games. Kojima does not even care for it, his team and him are working on Peace Walker. He should have just remade MG and MG2 since hardly anyone has gotten a chance to play them.

The only thing I have a problem with is Raiden.

Hopefully he wont be as terrible as he was in MGS2.

don't really know why PS3 owners are complaining...like people have stated before it's a MULTIPLATFORM game so you'll get to enjoy it as well :|

i think it will be a good metal gear game. i don't think they made it just to make more money for having metal gear solid in it's name.xscott1018

They are copying Splinter Cell Conviction.

Ubisoft is going with more action, less sneaking this time out. Konami doesnt want to lose market share in the west, so they want to do the same.

However, they did not want to risk changing the main title. So what to do? Make a spin off, make it multiplatform, put the true sequel on the PSP.

Now everyone (Sony, MS) is happy!

Lightning Bolt Action could be referring to melee as Raiden is fond of swords or less story more action. Also this game could be the best MGS yet for all we know, if Kojima isn't writing/directing it we may actually get more gameplay than story sequences and I'm personally all for more action. Fact is we have absolutely no idea what form exactly this game will take but everyone who has a system it is set to be released on have the right to be optimistic. There is no reason to think this game won't be as high quality as previous MGS games. If the game isn't good and it really is just to make money its not like everyone will just go out and buy it anyway, just because its a MGS game. If the game is bad it will flop in sales like most games. Not sure what point the OP is trying to make here.
