Outstanding, and this is out of one week..
And this video was released about a week ago so, this is still going on.

if ppl move theconsole that's what happens...idk why anybody would move a console while a game is spinning anyway....it's one of those stupid warnings that companies have to issue for idiots....ummm caution coffee is hot!
Heh, I'm guessing you haven't tried to play too many games from Blockbuster. 9/10 are unplayable from people scratching the hell out of them without the 360's help.TheSystemLord1I've been renting games for more than a few years and I've never had an unplayable game from any rental store...
most of those scratched disk where purely user damage, the ones with the near perfect thick circular scratch where done by the 360 itself, they where rentals, very few people feel the need to take care of rental disks, you can bash the disk format, but you can't bash the 360,loldelta3074
I can bash the 360 for choosing the format.

I have...many ppl don't know how to take care of things...I've had to repair them myself just to play them
Stopped watching as soon as I saw it was the big-eared PS3 fanboy. He has an incredible bias against the 360 although once in a while he'll make a valid point.
[QUOTE="vaderhater"]Err, it's a blockbuster employee and that's the box of defective games in a week :P.My point really stands now! J/J ...Anyhow he is a fanboy.Sucks for him.....
urdead18
So? At least he does his research and only brings up facts and actually PROVES his points with evidence unlike most fanboys. Just like in this video... the evidence is right there, 360 disc scratching is a problem. His 360 even had a video failure and he proved it with evidence. RROD isn't the only problem with the 360...This guy is like, one of the biggest PS3 fanboys on youtube.

[QUOTE="vaderhater"]Err, it's a blockbuster employee and that's the box of defective games in a week :P. Sucks for blockbusters. Luckily it's not my game, I don't work there, and my games don't have one scratch. I don't understand how people can have so many scratches unless you move the 360, but according to this patronising trite talking fanboy, these scratches must have been made by the 360 on it's own :oSucks for him.....

Wow a bit selfish arn't ya? But the fact is that there was at least two dozen defective games in there, one was a PS2 game, the rest were 360 games.

well that would be pretty stupid, i am pretty sure a 360 doesn't have a mind of it's own and therefore can't choose it's own disk format, you can blame MS for choosing to use DVD format in the 360, but i wouldn't care, i install all my games to the HDD, i take care of my disks and none of them have any scratches so i'm goodSo? If your actively going around looking for evidence and posting in on you tube (real winner there) and then linking it in a forum what does that make you?The 360 only scratches disks when you move your console with a disk spinning, hardly a 360 hardware fail, more that people with 360's are idiots.bobbetybob
The ring scratch is indeed caused by a hardware failure. Moving the 360 while it reads would not leave a circular scratch.

Okay but this video is not evidence...
Blu-ray vs DVD - yes Blu-ray has better disc quality and doesn't become scratched easily if ever. That is fact and evidence
What we don't know is how these games were treated, there is no evidence to how they were treated. The video creater just attacked the xbox 360 and blames the system first and not the users.
I did watch his other videos, He is not a fanboy. This guy is like, one of the biggest PS3 fanboys on youtube.
Watch his other videos. :p
And i have never had a game get scratched in any 360, ever.
So I'm good. :)

I have 50 Xbox 360 games and they all work. Don't blame the console when some kids can't take care of their DVDs.
who in the world moves there console when playing a game...like what the heck? they probably took a fit at the game and started to shack there 360

Right...
"the website "The Llamma's Adventures" investigated the matter and concluded that some Xbox 360 drives lack a mechanism to secure the disc solidly in place.Tilting or moving consoles with these drives, when operating with a disc spinning inside, can potentially cause damage to the disc, in some cases rendering the disc unusable."
Here
Now there are plenty of problems with the xbox 360, hell I just linked you to a wiki page about it, but atleast know your facts.

Feel sorry for that guy hah
[QUOTE="Blixxed"]I did watch his other videos, He is not a fanboy. The fact that he went out of his way to post stuff on you tube about it makes him a fanboy among other things. Its almost as bad as guys having a low scoring gamer tag in their sig that just screams *hey look here I borrowed or rented the system just to boot up a few games to have this tag to look unbiased* He is a fanboy. This guy is like, one of the biggest PS3 fanboys on youtube.

Dude, your reading comprehension fails. :| I am already aware that it would damage the disc, I said it would not leave a CIRCULAR scratch.

You mean a scratch around the disk?
Like this? It sure as hell does, my cat knocked over my xbox before and the disk came out looking like that. I can read just fine, so unless you mean something else please enlighten me.

I stand corrected, I wasn't aware that it did. My bad.
Although the ring scratch may also happen even if the console does not move. Happened to me twice.

actually, moving the 360 does cause a circular scratch, that big thick ring in the middle is what happens when your disk meets the lens mounting when it starts to wobble, my friend knocked his 360 over whilst playing COD 2, and the disk came out very similar to those, the 360's drive relies on gyroscopic stabilising, if you bash, move or drop the 360 it starts to spin at an angle and scrapes along the back of the lens mount. My 360 ruined two of my games before and I never once moved my console. My Fallout 3 disc had a circular ring just like the ones in the video. I remember playing it and my 360 started making strange noises and then the game froze and I was never able to play it again. A similar thing happened to my Saints Row disc too but instead of a ring it got a small crack near the hole of the disc. So I'm 100% sure this isn't always a user problem.
Also I know its a hardware problem because It has happened to me, on my Wii, I never move my Wii and it got circular scratches on it. I called nintendo, they repaired my Wii, replaced my disks no problem. I actually still have the broken disks, I will take a picture of them when I find my camera.
That sucks…. I would be so pissed if my 60$ game got scratched..
With that said….. I have 2 boys(6 and 2) 2 dogs and wife that would use my games as a costar if she had the chance..76 games later…….Launch 360…. and none have been damaged.
I have no idea what people do to their gear for all this stuff to happen…
People probally dont take care of the games because their only renting them and dont care. None of my games are scrathed.
They do nothing. My friend had a launch 360, he was lucky enough to never get an RROD, but it eventually (after 3 years) ate his Mass Effect. Big ole scratch ring on it.That sucks…. I would be so pissed if my 60$ game got scratched..
