Major upcoming exclusives for the PS4 this holiday season?

@thegreatgeneral: I'm debating about Far Cry. I haven't been huge in to the series. And outside it and DA, all we have as another COD and another AC.

I'm not gonna lie though. A small part of me dies every time I see a trailer for SSO and I know I won't be playing it anytime soon.

I don't understand how people can say SSB Wii U and MCC aren't exclusive.

It's simple: you don't see SSB Wii U or the MCC being advertised for different platforms. You do see LittleBigPlanet 3 being advertised for PS3/PS4 because it's the same exact game, minus graphical differences and framerate.

If you want to be pedantic, yes: SSB4 is multiplat, but SSB for Wii U is Wii U exclusive.

Far Cry 3 was not bad other than the cringeworthy murica storyline. Gunplay was solid and travesal pretty cool. Soundtrack was not bad either, especially the main theme. But when you are not that interested in the current games you should takle you backlog. Do you not enjoy some older games?

MS (and lemmings) advertised Titanfall as exclusive and Sony Destiny (not really but still) as exclusive. Advertisment means nothing.

I loled, the same thing said some MS executive on twitter about minecraft when the PS4 version got announced.

Maybe Sony should advertise 1080p exclusivity*

Besides improved resolution and frame rate, Halo CEA, Halo 3 and Halo 4 are pretty much the same has on xbox 360.

To a certain extent, Halo 2 is "exclusive" in the sense that multiplayer and the redone assets for Anniversary are not in the original.

However, most of the MCC is on the 360 by default.

@thegreatgeneral: Sony and Microsoft never claimed that Titanfall or Destiny were only playable on their console. Neither of those games are different bettween platforms with regards to content.

If I don't have a Wii U I cannot play the game labeled "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U" anywhere else. If I don't have a 3DS I can't play the game labeled "Super Smash Bros. for 3DS" anywhere else. If I don't have an XB1 I can play the game labeled "Titanfall" on my PC; if I don't have a PS4 I can play the game labeled "Destiny" on my XB1.

Yeah, the only thing thats off putting is that its looks very samey. Not a day 1 from me btw.

@deadline-zero0: Very true, but the game that'll be on store shelves next Tuesday titled "Master Chief Collection" will only be playable on XB1.

Why are you guys trying to spin established vocabulary? Exclusive is Exclusive and Mulitplat is Multiplat.

Edit: With that definition, every game is exclusive other than getting emulated.

I only see one exclusive game in that list and it's Toad treasure hunt.

The hospital that had to deal with the ebola issue, it's a ghost town. That company has 17 other hospitals. If that ebola hospital closes down, the other will still exist. Different branches.

PS4 doesn't have any unlike the Xbox and WiiU. Very dark time for cows everywhere.

Super Smash Bros is also on the 3DS. It's not exclusive.

PS4 Holiday lineup is pretty bad this year. There's really no real exclusive. LBP 3 isn't exclusive. DriveClub was really it. Journey Remastered, Planetside 2 and Guilty Gear Xrd are not exclusive to the PS4. PS4 basically has multiplats and Indies.

There is no cross-play.

Maybe get them out for the owners who bought their product and were promised games.

Not just you, the whole year is terrible and even multiplats are weak this year. Also so many games are still remasters, cross-gen or cross platform - even exclusives. (Forza, Smash, Little Big Planet, Halo remakes, Last of Us Remake, etc... and almost every major multiple being cross gen).

Next gen won't start, until most games are truly unique to the new gen platforms (excluding the Wii-U).

They definitely may have, as it would have been kinda cool. As of now, it's a non-feature.

Wow, that's not what I'm implying at all. I'm saying there are no alternative platforms to play either Super Smash Bros. for Wii U or the Master Chief Collection on, besides the respective platforms they're exclusive to. And these games have new, exclusive content to make it clear that they're unique. The Far Cry 4 thing has nothing to do with anything; I'm not saying multiplats which are the same game content-wise across several platforms are suddenly exclusive based on which platform you own, so I don't understand why you brought it up.

Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is exclusive to Wii U. The Master Chief Collection is exclusive to XB1. Period. You can't play these games on any other platform. You can't walk into GameStop and ask for the 3DS version of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and the Xbox 360 version of The Master Chief Collection.

Okay, you made it a little clearer but I have never met anyone with that kind of perspective. But why are you stoping there? Lets divide exclusivity to technical terms like 1080p or 60fps. PS4 has the exclusivity of the 1080p and dynamic Weather version of MGS Ground Zeroes. Its absurd. You want to extent the line when there is no need for that at all.

You had no problem to identify LPB3 as a multiplat in the OP. So why are you trying so hard to find some kind of reasoning to make the other games look more exclusive? Do you see both versions of The Last of Us as exclusive too?

Let me make this as clear as possible. Super Smash Bros. for Wii U is exclusive to Wii U. Super Smash Bros. for 3DS is exclusive to 3DS. The Master Chief Collection is exclusive to XB1. The Last of Us Remastered is exclusive to PS4.

Persona 4 Golden is exclusive to PS Vita. LittleBigPlanet is multiplat. Titanfall is multiplat. Destiny is multiplat.

I very easily identify LBP3 as a multiplat because that's what it was announced as at E3 and it's going to be the same game, both in name and in terms of content, across platforms.

Watch how lems tune change when 2015 hits and they suddenly don't care about exclusives or what they have coming out on their own system.

No matter what PS4 still has a few big games coming out that aren't available on xbox or only playstation for the holiday season. What the hell exclusives are coming out for xbone 1Q 2015? Lems are such a joke, every time I have asked this question they have gone silent or deflected to another topic. Lems don't know a single damn game for 2015 but they are worried about PS4's games LMAO.

By that logic, Masterchief Collection isn't exclusive either.

Pretty disappointing no big exclusive is coming for the PS4, but Samurai Warriors 4 will keep me occupied. Luckily I own all 3 systems and a PC. Plus the handhelds. I'm good.

Yes yes, we all know the PS4 has the weakest lineup this year. We're beating a dead horse at this point. It looks a lot less bleak for the console next year though.

there is no hurry for sony, because 3rd grade console can't keep up in sales and because of this there is no competition for ps4 and thus no heavy hitters yet.

so hopefully XposBone will outsell ps4, but i highly doubt that

Guilty gear and lbp are pretty good to me. I don't see what's the big deal.

Why even release any games at all when memes and words are all you need?

3 and 4 yes. Halo: CEA for 360 never had the multiplayer and they also added quite a bit of content to all the games like forge, theater, new vehicles, new ranking system, new lore. I haven't done a lot of research for the MCC so there's probably more stuff. If a Socom collection came out on the PS4 with all the multiplayer back in the game but it was exactly the same as the original with no added content unlike the MCC then I would still consider it an exclusive because you can't experience the main selling point of the game (online multiplayer) anywhere else anymore.

I thought they where for the gamers, therefore they should release at least some good games.

Toad Tracker & Super Smash Bros Wii U both exclusive to Nintendo.

Master Chief Collection exclusive to Microsoft.

Little Big Planet 3 exclusive to PlayStation.

We can agree on that right? OK, so now I do agree with the list the TC made. SSBB Wii U version is exclusive to Wii U, it has many differences than the 3DS version. Also MCC, they have updated the visuals I assume, have added bonus content, I'll have to say it's exclusive to X1. I don't know much about Little Big Planet 3, not sure how different and alike both games are but I'll say Last of Us Remastered is exclusive to PS 4, didn't they add a lot of new things to it? *shrug*

Just because they haven't lived up to the promise in your eyes. Look at all the multiplats out right. There are actually good games out there to buy. Just not exclusive ones.

Oh but when the flood gates do open. It's going to be interesting. Sony has never disappointed with exclusive games. So I'm not worried.

As a PS4 owner, I don't feel like Sony is being very "For the Gamer" at the moment. Holidays are a big deal in the gaming community and to put out no big name exclusives isn't a good thing. I feel like they rushed Driveclub out almost a year after it was supposed to be released. I feel like Sony lied to us about how far along in development these games actually were and/or are. I think they felt the pressure from Microsoft announcing the number of exclusives they had in development for the X1. They are getting some good multiplats which is what most people play so I'm sure most owners aren't complaining. Me, I'm giving my X1 and Wii U some love this winter. MCC, FH2, Sunset Overdrive, SSBWiiU, Bayonetta 2, and possibly Toads Treasure Tracker.

So None of the God of War games are exclusive? There's a few of them across three platforms.

But I still can't play LBP on anything other than a sony system, I can only play a part of the halo master chief collection on pc, and I can't play Smash Bros on anything other than a Nintendo System.

SW definition of exclusive is a game on a single system, Demon's Souls is exclusive Dark Souls is not, therefore none of those listed games are exclusive.
