Major upcoming exclusives for the PS4 this holiday season?

If you recall.. Bloodborne & the order 1886 were both 2014 titles that were pushed to 2015. On top of that Sony pretty much released there top franchises within the first year (Killzone, MLB the show, Infamous, and LBP). I think that Sony was counting on games like Evolve and Batman to carry the holiday load.. but they too were delayed.

Either way there's plenty to play if you're open to everything available on the platform (and you're not a current PS3 owner).

Please tell me the other platform I can buy the Master Chief Collection for next Tuesday. Please tell me the other console where I can play the game that is literally titled "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U" that will come out Nov. 21st (I've also made it a point to refer to SSB for Wii U as a Wii U exclusive, and not just "Super Smash Bros." or "Super Smash Bros. 4").

Even if you think "durr, it remasters past games and those individual games aren't exclusive to XB1," you have to admit that: a) the package titled "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is exclusive to XB1 and is recognized as such by every retailer, reviewer, etc., and b) there's enough new content, namely the remastered Halo 2 Anniversary, to warrant the Master Chief Collection being more than just some ensemble collection like the Metal Gear Solid Legacy Collection.

Thank you for making that clear: it supports my argument very well. The game titled "Halo: The Master Chief Collection" is not available on any other system than XB1, and the game titled "Super Smash Bros. for Wii U" is not available on any other system than Wii U. And not only that, these games boast exclusive content you won't find anywhere else.

If you think I'm trying to spin shit, you're wrong. You can apply this to The Last of Us Remastered too, if you want. You can't apply it to LBP3 because it's the same exact game across PS3 and PS4 with the same content. I'm not supporting one side or the other and I don't think that's apparent from any of my posts in this thread.

Yeah, they don't, which is why I never said Halo 4 and Halo 3 are gen 8 exclusives. The Master Chief Collection is exclusive to XB1, however, because the game that's titled that, that includes three remastered games and one that's been newly remade, is only available on XB1.

So by your logic the God of War HD collection for PS3 is a PS3 exclusive as well as the God of War: Saga Collection is another exclusive for PS3 and the God of War Origins Collection for PS3 is another exclusive. Cool

I played the whole MC collection 10y ago. Is this the "big" """"exclusive""""" Xbone has? Very big indeed lol. Smash is also multiplat no matter how Char tries to spin it. PS4 has nothing until February. At the end no1 has anything exclusive worth mentioning.

So people are now resorting to making things up to try and prove that "Super Smash Bros For the Wii U" isn't exclusive?

Not that LBP3 is a winner or anything (the LBP games have atrocious mechanics), but I'm not exactly looking at Halo ports and Smash+a toad puzzle game as something stellar from either. Admittedly Smash Bros might be genuinely terrific, but that's a wait and see. Exclusive wise the PS4's going to cover itself by getting me some of dat Guilty Gear action. Apparently that's on PS3 or something though.

@OhSnapitz: There are good games on the console, my issue is Sony promised 20 new 1st party games in 2014 and came nowhere near that mark. I bought the system on the premise they would release maybe half the promised games, but they didn't even come close to that either. I'm not mad at them or bashing the PS4, but they didn't deliver on the promise. They are being the least "for the gamer" atm imo.

Two separate games that run the same engine elements, the same physics engines, both have the character creator (it's hidden in the Wii u version but why do you thin you can tranfer them over?) the same collision detections, the 3DS was SAID to have been the MAIN console for development and affected certain MOVES and Characters that were and were not in the Wii u version, both games play exactly the same, Both have tons of shared modes, some of which are connected, and you think having 8 players and hitting a sack across a stadium is enough to call it a new game when it's basically the same game with gimmicks thrown all over the place? The same Wii u version that had it's core gameplay and core content determined by the 3DS version? The same Wii U version where everyone has the same physics, movesets, and hitboxes? The same Wii u version that is on a more powerful console but 3DS limits controlled what was on it? The same Wii u version that run engines in parallel that are the same when connected to the 3DS?

I mean what? In fact in a way the Wii U version was "downported'" when you think about it. Either way, if Forza H2 isn't considered an exclusive than hell no is something with very few actual real differences like Smash a multiplat. It's also no wear near GRAW.

@sHaDyCuBe321 Those aren't enough to make them different games, It's all bonus modes. here's nothing their that actual changes the game. What's not a bonus mode is either shared, or an editor, which is also not really changing the game.

Maybe its just me but I consider ssbwiiu exclusive, but I also don't go by a strict definition. It is exclusive to ninty platforms similar to lbp3 for ps and that's enough for me.

Nintendo has one budget game and a multiplat.

M$ has a remake. Not an exclusive.

Not really seeing the point of your thread. 2014 sucks for games. The only thing that can save us is Far Cry 4.

This is how I think also, I don't give a dam if its on another Nintendo system or if a playstation game is on another Ps system, as long as no other companies system has it then it is exclusive. I don't know why we went one further and said it has to be on one system, that just made things confusing and the reason we all argue over this.

Sony was talking a lot about "games, games, and games," which is a big reason the console is selling so well....yet they have no games lol. Also, you guys are being prudes about exclusives. If a game is only on Sony platforms it should be exclusive. There won't be too many "true exclusives" for awhile because we are still doing the cross gen thing.

Hhhmm.. sales during the holiday, so you can make a profit and pay off your billions in debt. I would say that's a good reason. This is why Microsoft unloads it's biggest games during the last 3 months of the year. They've been hugely successful because of it. Sony had planned to do the same thing, but then Bloodborne and The Order 1886 got delayed. DriveClub should have came out next year as well, but I think Sony forced Evolution to release early because they had nothing else BIG that was remotely ready to be released. I think 2015 will be better for the PS4.

Probably because they will still be playing all the exclusives and brand exclusives from 2014. I believe Quantum Break, Fable Legends and several Indie exclusives will be coming out in early 2015 for XB1. Of course the big hitters won't show their face until after the E3. Games like Crackdown, Tomb Raider, Halo 5, Phantom Dust, Scalebound, Scream Ride, etc... I don't think lems are worried about anything. those $350 bundles are pushing XB1's out the door. There will be some bigs sales during the holidays.

It's funny the change in stance Lems have had since last gen on HD remakes. After all the claims that HD remakes were milkage and collections weren't exclusives.

Remember when lemmings said Ninja Gaiden Sigma wasn't exclusive for PS3 2007? Even though the entire game was remade from the ground up, new cut scenes, new moves, new settings, new bosses and all it was STILL multiplatform because it wasn't a *different* game!

It was a FURIOUS argument maintained by lems last gen to keep the AAAE count for PS3 0 as long they could to continue to claim the " PS3 no games" monologue.

Seriously, people picking out the PS4 as if other systems are popping out AAA after AAA this year, no that is only the Wii U. All the other systems are pretty even for being mutiplat simulators this year.

1. Just because two (or more) games have different names does not dictate it to be an exclusive. For example, Ninja Gaiden Sigma is not exclusive to the PS3 because its name is different to Ninja Gaiden Black. Ninja Gaiden Black and Ninja Gaiden Sigma are largely the same game, since Ninja Gaiden Sigma is a remake of Ninja Gaiden Black. Remakes, or next generation ports are not considered to be "exclusive."
2. There is no such thing as "console exclusive" or "company exclusive." Console exclusive is a term coined by lemmings that used the Xbox 360/PC games as a means against the PS3. PC and Xbox brands are not "Microsoft Exclusive" as the PC is an open market in which even Sony (Playstation owner) distributes PCs. Furthermore, just because a game is Xbox One and Xbox 360, or PS3, PS4 and PSVita does not mean they are "exclusive." They are considered multiplatform games.

So this rule also apply to MCC lemmings just can't admit it because well they have nothing this holiday either,so they have to picture 3 games which in this moment are been play online on xbox 360 as something new or exclusive to XBO.

Hey, I don't disagree. I do own a Wii U, but even that only fills in the gaps. Just grateful I have a somewhat decent PC.

I'm not just singling out the PS4 here. I don't really keep up with Xbone stuff, but from what I gather it's in a similar position. It's not like I expected these consoles to be flush with great content their first year out though. Sure the Wii U is faring better at the moment, but that doesn't mean much.

2014 has mostly been a bust for console gaming. Which worked out for me. 2015 looks great though. MGSV and Zelda are all I really need, but there's going to be so much more.

From now to the end of this year I will be playing, PS4 = Nothing. For the X1, Sunset Overdrive and a hell of a lot of Halo!

I'll be to busy playing GTA5,DA:I ,FC4 and AC :U to notice.

If your saying MCC is exclusive which IMO I agree with you, you agree that Super Smash Bros for Wii U is also an exclusive? Just want to see if we both on the same page cause everyone here is confusing -.-

Where else can I play halo 2 online? Halo anniversary didn't have the mp maps so one of the most important features was missing.

I consider both Halo MCC and Super Smash Bros Wii U as exclusives. I know SW doesn't, but I do.

I am a big Nintendo fan and am getting Smash for Wii U and own the 3Ds as well, but even I would call Smash a Multiplat. There are different game modes/stages ect, but it is still a multiplat.

Unfortunately for lemmings Sony's been releasing games throughout the year.

MS is going to have the same problem they've had the last 12 months after Halo's out: nothing releasing for 10+ months afterwards.
