Man Sony is on a negative roll this past month

Just this last month we've seen

PSN+ price increase, and it went down again after that

PS4 pro - no 4k BD drive, and now they say upscaling is good after they trashed it the past 3 years since it won't really do 4k games. and same CPU as the OG PS4. Outclassed by the scorpio by far

PS4 slim - priced like the XB1S but no 4k streaming or BD drive, removed optical drive making most wireless headsets obsolete. it's worse then the OG PS4

Layoffs - at London and SD studios

Delays - TLG and GT both got delayed. TLG is now their only release coming for the rest of the year if it makes it out in december

Shu publicly blaming Sean Murphy for the NMS debacle

PSVR - much worse quality then you would expect from a mid tier headset. worse then the 99 dollar gear VR. shocked me. Went from a possible buy to no buy after trying it

Lems are really having a hard time here. lol their best is to drum up a smear campaign against Sony to hide the failure of their favorite losing brand and hyped games that have all flopped to hell and back.

Xbone S sales hype is dead now that Pro is here. All that xbone S momentum was killed on PS4 Pro reveal and is currently dominating Amazon sales charts. Now lems have to go back to hyping a system they won't even have a chance of touching for at least another year. These guys are in limbo, tough times in lem land.

To be quite honest, the Gran Turismo delay serves as a positive thing for all mankind. It's like saying "the meteor that was gonna hit tomorrow, is gonna hit in 2 months". Sure, you're fucked, regardless, but you can get some shit done before the dick hits.

Great thread. You also forgot the flops this past month with No Man's Sky just getting pummeled, and Tomorrow Children representing all new low in flop scores. Then you forgot that they lost all their exclusives as well. It's been one hit after another of complete failures.

The thing about it is, PS4 titles get delays....and STILL PS4 owners get more games released, in more genres and in higher quality than xbox so I'm curios why sony haters have all this concern when a PS title is delayed lol it's not like that's going to make xbones lack of quality exclusives get any better.

I can't think of any big Sony release all year besides uncharted. and none left for this year unless you want to count TLG which may make it in December if it doesn't get delayed again. 1st party from MS and Sony have both been dry this year. The delay doens't concern me personally, Its more of a "there hasn't been 1 Sony exclusive I liked this gen" type of thing. I didn't have any interest in TLG or GT anyway, I was just stating facts not opinions. I'm very excited for horizon, but thats the only thing that interests me from sony shown so far and coming out before 2018.

As far as lack of games, both 1st parties have had those. MS isn't kicking ass in that department either, MS just made better choices for 3rd party deals IMO. But at least gears 4 is coming next month. That'll easily keep me busy until the barrage of 2017 1Q games like horizon, mass effect, and possibly scalebound. If I only had a PS4 this gen, I'd probably hardly have played anything. It's nice having both for sure, but the PS4 offering IMO have been terrible so far. But this thread isn't about opinion or MS or nintendo, it's about all the bad decisions sony has made this past month. If the shoe was on the other foot, I'd say the same about MS or nintendo. But you wouldn't thats the difference between a fanboy and a gamer

Early on, the PS4 used to have double the games Xbox One has. Now the Xbox has 800 games to the PS4's 975 games. So actually, the PS4 has been releasing LESS games as of late. Quite a few less considering the Xbox caught up pretty quickly. I contribute that to the influx of indies that they are finally pumping out in the ID@xbox program.

The Ps4 isn't offering more genres, though it is kicking the Xbox's ass in JRPG's. Higher quality is subjective.

yup thats basically it. PS4 wins in the JRPG category, XB wins in the TPS, FPS, and Racer category. Personally I don't care for JRPGs or Racers, but Shooters are my favorite and most played games for sure. PS4 still doesn't have a good shooter outside of overwatch which I own on PS4 and Xb1

In reality, Sony has had a bad month in system wars. No one beyond gamers and investers have noticed anything other then the price increase... when they have to pony up.

@kvally: Tomorrow Children? I get NMS, the media started to hype it and it snowballed from there, going from a indie game to AAA status and all. But TC never had any hype lol, nobody knew about the game and to boot its a free to play pos, don't see how you can even justify lumping that trash in.

Plenty knew about it and bragged about it at E3 last year when they debuted it on the big stage. I am not justifying it because I was not hyped for it. The cows were because it was a game being made available to the PlayStation brand, not Xbox.

PS4 Pro - You seem to forget that it also has about triple the power of the Xbox One S.
