And Mario Strikers was tons of fun. It's not like after a certain amount they should just stop using Mario forever. Mario and co. is part of why they're usually so funny too, these sports games and etc.

The multiplayer was absolutely hilarious on the GC original so the prospect of online play is not to be sniffed at. My only worry is that the single player will not differentiate itself enough from the original.

Basically, Mario lost his "coolness" with me, once Nintendo started spaming out Mario games left and right to make profit off of his name, and not put out games worthy of his name.

How is Mario slowing becoming like Sonic? Aside from the Mario Party games and some horrid SNES spinoffs, I've never seen a bad Mario game. Unlike Sega, Nintendo actually cares about it's mascot enough to pump out a decent game, even if it was a spinoff. :|

Mario was coolin Super Mario 64. Then after that the mario party games killed it. He redeemed himself with NSMB but all these other games just make me hate him all over again.

How is it the same game every time? It's a new story with new characters, and they usually change the gameplay. For example, FF12 is no longer turn based. The problem is, people see Mario on everything. Mario soccer, baseball, Mario Party 10 or whatever... Then you've got all of the platformers, it just seems like it's a never ending thing. The platformers are good (obviously), but I don't like the Mario sports games. I prefer the EA/2k sports stuff.

Pure ownage. And strikers was an awesome game, and the new one looks even better. Mario party is rehashed a bit but that does not mean that every game with mario is a rehash, thats just what haters would like you to think.
