Mass Effect 2 is the best game of this whole generation

using fanboy aliance to dismiss this game is a disservice to yourself if you're a real gamer. You might not like it, but I think it's silly to try to use pre-conceived notions to hate on a game you never tried...soooo I guess you didn't like or try Dragon Age Origions either?

I did say that it was a good game, didn't I? Who said that I didn't like it? For best game of this whole generation, it's not my pick. Also, Dragon Age Origions? You mean Origins, right? If you did, then I liked that game too, but like I said, I prefer RPG's which are more futuristic, with guns. Is it that hard for you to complement that?

So far, my best game this gen is Super Mario Galaxy. :)

It's an incredible game, no doubt. It's more action than RPG, but in the best way possible. I'm not sure about THE best game of the generation, but it's one of the best. It's rare for me to play a game for more than a couple hours, but with ME2 I feel like I can play for longer.

Metal Gear Solid 4 closes this thread.

And Uncharted 2 locks it.

Then Super Mario Galaxy eats it, swallows it, vomits it and eats it right back 3 times over.

I would not say any game is the greatest game of the generation because there are just far too many games that I love. However, I definitely think it will be one of the most memorable ones for sure.

It is pretty damn epic. Makes me wonder how the hell will Bioware beat this with ME 3.

I haven't finished the game yet, but I would already agree that it is right around the top best games this gen. Demon's Souls, Dragon Age Origins, & a couple upcoming releases + a couple other games as well would fight for that title, but I would say it is better than big games like Metal Gear & Uncharted 2.

Eh I really like the game but I have my problems with it. I mean While it took gigantic leaps forward from the first it also made weird changes that I just didn't understand. Like why do you need ammo now? Why no exp. when you kill characters, Idk it just doesn't really feel like an rpg at all anymore which was very disappointing. While fixing all that was bad about the original mass effect they changed alot of it that was good for seemingly no reason and Idk why they did.

BioWare has done some incredible work this generation. They have created two very successful IPs in Mass Effect and Dragon Age. Probably one of my favorite developers this generation. I have yet to play a BioWare game and be disappointed. Still not sure I call ME2 the best game of this generation. Thus far that title goes to Dragon Age: Origins for me.

Simply a phenomimal game and one that gives you real incentive for multiple playthroughs. Every aspect you want in a game it has.

I wouldn't mind if it made sense but you take the best elements of the game, parts every reviewer and gamer has raved about and sum it all up by saying 'its boring', 'it's not gears of war/kotor'.

I think Uncharted 2 and MGS4 are the two best games I have played this gen, but a lot of people on this board claim that not only are they not great, but that they're absolutely abhorrent, terrible crap that they would never touch. I don't believe them, I usually assume they have a biased opinion.
