An RPG with multiplayer? If I had a preorder I would cancel it. Mass Effect 3 has sounded bad from the start. Basically now it's just a third person shooter with lore.

Which means nothing to me, I've never had an interest in Diablo. :P

As long as I get a quality single player experience, then I really don't care either way. As that is where my interest in this game lies.

No thanks - Mass Effect is meant to be a single-player RPG, I don't need someone messing up my chances of keeping my entire team alive.

Meh.. I wish they used all of their resources on making the best single player experience possible, as that's what Mass Effect has been known for. I don't really like the idea of multiplayer in Mass Effect, but I really don't care. I will continue to play it as a single player game, I already pre-ordered the CE edition. Can't wait.

Well I don't mind. Hopefully it'll convince more people to try out Mass Effect. Unless something sinister goes down, I'm going to love the single player, and it can't hurt to play ME with some friends.

I think the big thing for Bioware is just to make sure the single player is not undergoing any sacrifices whatsoever since thats the heart of the game.

You play Mass Effect for the story anyway so having an online pass is dumb. That's probably going to be the least valuable part of the game, but if they want to extort people for extra money through it then it's their funeral. I hope that eventually people wisen up to this crap and either stop supporting it or find a way around it.

I hope its just a cerberus network thing and not actual multiplayer that will ruin the game.

It could be some DLC deal thing, like a pass for free/discounted DLC, or something similar to the Cerberus network

I guess this is the mind-blowing announcement that was supposed to be made last week and got pushed to next month. I'm excited to see what it is, but I'm really hoping its co-operative or at the least competitive scoring based.

While I actually do believe their will be some multiplayer component introduced, the idea of an Online Pass is hardly confirmation. LA Noire had an Online Pass to. They are used for DLC package deals as much as they are for online accessibility. It is amazing how people forget about the Cerberus Network in Mass Effect 2.

In this case that's irrelevant because the flyer explicitly stated "Online Multiplayer Pass" for Mass Effect 3.

Yeah and magazine publications have NEVER printed misinformation before right?

We all know this is going to be a team-based co-op type of multiplayer. If the Online Pass is indeed confirmed then too bad to those who's going to buy this used on top of their online fee...

True. I think there must be some kind of misinformation involved because it advertises the online pass in the collectors edition. Why would they do that ?
