Do you think it's running on the PRO? or regular PS4?

Anyways, I'm so excited, day 1 purchase for sure.

i was waiting for someone to post it, then i finally pulled the trigger myself only to see you've beaten me by 2 minutes :D

Yeah that was really promising, made me even more hyped, it's all what you could expect from a Mass Effect experience and more.

Day 1 for me as well

Gameplay looks amazing but the visuals were kinda washed out (on the stream. haven't seen the youtube feed). This won't be a day one but a minute one!

I was worried it was going to end up like Dragon Age: Inquisition, but so far it looks real close to the previous Mass Effect games.

They made the planets sound exciting

i haven't watched the best quality yet but yeah it kinda felt like that and the trailer focused on the main character, i mean he/she wasn't ordering other players in combat which was a turn-off for me

And Mako seems so kewl! making the exploration way more fun.

And also, i loved the animations and facial expressions, feels so alive and an obvious overhaul.

If they manage to take the planet exploration of ME1 and nail it unlike ME1, have the quality of ME2's loyalty quests, and having the comradery of ME3 as well as its daring, it will be the best of the series.

Its the best showcase of the game so far. It gave the game purpose. This just might save the game.

We all know its on the pc if its in 4k

I didn't know PC had L2 and R2 buttons. Unless the PC version supports PS4 controller overlay I'm gonna have to say that's the Pro footage.

If its true 4k than mostly likely not. Any demo can be easily be design to have controller overlay and running on the pc.

i actually did and laughed when the chick/Shepard2.0 disarmed the guy and her messedup facial expressions made her smile during the process. At least the animations look acceptable cuz i sure as shit didn't forget the ones in ME3.

Enemies look stiff where are the next gen animation

This looked boring outside of some of the powers.

Animation too stiff for my liking seem like enemy don't even react when getting directly hit by a biotic attack but could be worse.

Okay I've just seen this trailer in 4k and I must say that I'm so happy I got the Ps4 pro instead of the xbox 1s. I need this game now!!!!.

The Butt hurt runs strong in this one lol. Sorry to break it to you buddy, but I don't know any pc game that uses the Playstation control layout.

Still the combat looks more casualized than before I mean you can literally take down mechs and torops all by yourself without a squad

It's not true 4K, it's checkerboard rendering in 4K which is impossible to tell apart from real 4K on youtube compression. It's most likely the Pro version. They wouldn't go through all that trouble to add PS4 controller overlay on PC version just for a demo.

They reacted in ME3 so i can't imagine them not reacting here. What im worried about is the multiplayer animations. To those who've played DA:I campaign and multiplayer would understand.

Is it just me or does it look like it's taking mechanical gameplay cues from Halo 5? Looks really good.

@abtoxin: You want to properly enjoy a Mass Effect game? Play it on Insane. Its the only way to go.

i don't think PS4 Pro can pull this off in 4K... they will upscale it i guess

Its been reported in the past that ps4 game demo were running on pc don't ask me ask one of the giantbomb editors. If its actual 4k than of course its not running on the pro. You think it that hard to get a demo on pc with ps4 controller overlay it doesn't have to be the full pc retail version when they have other builds of their own.

I was just gonna mention how the trailer looked very similar to the ME3 multiplayer and stumbled on this. Lets just hope we're not limited to only three powers per class, that would be way too straight forward.

"Depth of Mass Effect 1 and action of Mass Effect 3" sounds good to me.

If its not real 4k than yea it may most likely ps4 pro footage but there have been a few instances int he past where ps4 demo were runned on the pc especially for companies like EA, I already posted above of a example of that. Developers have different builds where they can use as a demo.

look at the shadows, they don't look very high but the picture is sharp (probably 1440-1600p upscaled to 4k). I'd be ready to bet money this was on the Poo. Its just not impressive enough to be running on PC/maxed out.

The graphics weren't insanely impressive to begin with

I was never really big into the whole sci-fi genre except for Mass Effect, especially Mass Effect 2, loved that game. I wasn't really hyped for Andromeda so much in the past, but seeing this trailer and the music towards the end was legit; made me hyped for this game!

its using Frostbite, it will look good. DA:I didn't exactly failed graphics wise.

BioWare is doing their best Bethesda impression with those animations. Well, they aren't that bad but certainly stick out. I also hope this isn't like many other open world (open galaxy?) games where depth is sacrificed in favor of sheer size. I'm intrigued but I want to see a walkthrough of a mission or something. And isn't this supposed to be in a different galaxy? Why are there humans that seem to be a part of a well established society/settlement?

@silversix_: Still the combat looks like you don't even need a squad anymore or much tactics. They better improve the AI a least looks like they could barely aim.

But in the video, she had a squad, and they took down the mech with a tech combo.

Also MEA looks like it also has sync kills like ME3 does, where enemies can kill you instantly.

bioware is owned by the largest video game publisher in the world and they still have the worst facial expressions and voice acting in the industry

They barely showed the entire fight with the mechs. They just showed a scene when it was just low on health where they just blasted it up close. Barely any teamwork shown just the character moving around place to place blasting people. Seem like the AI aren't good at aiming or put up a challenge either unless the player had some pretty op weapon. Didn't see any moment where you really needed to take cover they were literally standing in the middle of the firefight. Having Biotics looks like it going make it hell lot easier.

Voice acting? You must be joking

haha this is also the first time i ever see anyone complaining about the voice acting in a ME game. The only game that has better voice acting *and this is just my opinion* is Rockstar titles. Voice acting is top notch in every ME game.

Combat looks more easier than before doesn't look to challenge assuming this is normal difficulties. Maybe because the Weapon there using is pretty powerful.

First, the player is using Biotic Charge, which in past games would recharge her shields on hits, so she would take cover lass. Plenty of kits in multiplayer in ME3 relied less on cover and more about getting to the enemy (and Volus could not take cover). Second, the tech combo, clearly shown on screen, was a clear result of her combining tech powers with the squad. If you actually have play ME3, and high level multiplayer, tech bursts and biotic bursts do a lot of damage.

They do not want to pop and shoot in MEA like you can in past games.

One part doesn't negate the fact there was little squad coordination used through the fights. Saying they don't want make it more cover and shoot is not really a good excuse when there were classes in the pass games that did not use biotics powers or rely on heavily. Biotic classes were pretty damn op in the last game so I'm not even surprise its even more so here than before.
