Well, MS is gonna lose now.. Everyone on the Mass effect forum that got a 360 just for that game are selling their comsole. Way to shoot yourself in the head MS!xsubtownerx
Yup, Im going to ebay all my 360 stuff after GTA4 has been played in April.
Could possible take advantage of the new hardware boom due to GTA4 aswell.
The only exclusive I want this year now thats NOT coming to the PC announced is Fable 2 ... which very likely will at some point anyway.

It'll probably be better to wait for Fable 2: The Lost Chapters - the PC version with more content, like Fable 1's port. :P

Oh I still like my 360. I'm buying two games today, but honestly MS isn't going to rule the gaming world anytime soon when something like this happens.
PS: I really hate EA now. I will never touch another EA game EVER! 8)
We sure are seeing alot of 360 games heading to the PC and vice versa. The PC generally has the most potential. That is, games can be best on the PC. So, all of this sharing of exclusives makes it hard to justify owning a 360(just like it did with the original xbox imo). Exclusives are essential to a system, and i also believe that a console should set itself apart from the PC, not make itself as similar as possible.. because then that console becasue nothing but a fools PC. *not that the 360 is nothing but that yet...
I'm glad they are improving the inventory though. It was painful on the 360, i wanted to punch a puppy every time i had to enter it. Everything was so damn slow moving, and it was not set up well at all.
I haven't played Mass Effect, but this mini-game better the **** not be like BioShock whereby you hack something every 8 seconds.* New decryption mini-game.
darklord888
It was inevitable, but I think the timing is a bit of a surprise.

The whole thing seems like a surprise. I saw an MS interview yesterday and the guy seemed quite confident that Mass Effect was going to stay an Xbox 360 exclusive. Damn EA, man.. It's just a matter of time before EA owns the rights to every single GAME ON THE PLANET!

Yay! :D Some good news for a change, it's definately the most interesting 360 title there is.
Ugh, I hope not, and since it's EA, the money maker, I doubt they would kill the sales with a move like that. But IF it were a Vista exclusive, that would be enough incentive for me to finally get it ..in dualboot that is. ;)I knew that it would be ported quickly, but I didn't expect to see it until the latter half of the year.
That's great news - I'll probably pick it up, even though I've never been a huge fan of Bioware's role-playing formula.
*Edit* ...unless it's Vista-only.

Ah, I just did a quick scan of the review. Opening locked containers with a Shenmue-y mini-game...lovely. I suppose they'll take the Fahrenheit approach and map them to the arrow keys.Anyone who didn't see this one coming must have learned nothing from every other Microsoft-published Xbox "exclusive" ever released.
InsaneBasura
Not to mention every Bioware game ever. They've all been on the PC. Every single one of them.
It isn't a surprise that it ended up on PC, obviously, but I think it's a huge surprise that it's coming so early. Pretty sure nobody expected that. Only six months.

WTF!!! I am very pissed off now. First they make a crappy console(RROD), then they port most of their exclusives on the PC. Why should i now own a 360? I don't see any PS3 exclusives going to the PC(MGS4, Killzone 2 and Unchartered still intact). Man this is the reason i never bought the original xbox, when the games i wanted(kotor, fable and halo:CE) ended up on the PC why shall i spend my money on a xbox, but atleast it was the most powerful on the market. But now, the same is happening with the 360(mass effect, bioshock and gears) and its not even the most powerful. Man i feel so ripped off. I got the 360 for bioshock, gears, halo3 and Mass effect, and now all of them is on the PC(which gets the best versions), and halo 3 will eventually get ported(like halo2 and halo:ce).bigevil_rashek
One Word: eBay
It will make all your 360 suffering go away

Im still happy with my 360; plenty of titles that are still great fun - even if you own a gaming PC.
If you go for just the 360 cross platform games, go for a gaming PC.

And the 360 gets SupCom, WiC and few others. Plus now that EA is behind the wheel it's more than likely that there will be a 360 version of Dragon Age too.

lost planet, viva pinata, gears, and now mass effect = most?
the pc is not a console the console wars has long has it doesent go to another console its still console exclusive and its going to only run on Microsoft windows vista or more likley no xp which is also microsoft owned...Bigboss232*Checks forum title* Still SYSTEM WARS.

There is no such thing as a console exclusive, and Microsoft doesn't own PC gaming.
sweet. can't wait. and it better not be vista only  Ontain
I think that all depends on Bioware, and how much control they have over it. Epic managed to get Microsoft to let them release Gears on both XP and Vista, so it remains to be seen if Bioware can do the same. Or EA, even. They don't care about gamers, but they do care about money, and there are a lot more XP users out there.
Awesome news, I almost bought an X360 for Gears and I almost bought it again for Mass Effect, but both are now on my PC. Proof again that the PS3 and PC combo can't be beat.EmperorSupreme
If you don't have a gaming PC though like me then ps3 and 360 combo is just as good. Not to mention if you have a wii too then thats even more games I won't miss out on.

I thought so too untill I realized the 360 its self beats that combo.. You don't get ALL the games but you get a hell of a lot for way less money spent on a ps3 and PC.

That's true.. If you don't have a PC that can run games then PS3 and 360 is a good way to go. Honestly; I don't understand the Xbox strategy at all, I don't understand how MS ever expects to have a winning console consistently losing exclusives like this. Thats one thing Sony does right when it's exclusive it's pretty much exclusive, very rarely does an exclusive on Playstation ever make it to another system.

I'm completely different in that sense. I'm just getting into PC gaming and I haven't touched a recent PC title. I'm starting with older games as of now. To each his own.
Ok....i am calm now. Man that port really pissed me off(i had to play god of war on the PS2 to calm down). Now the PC gets most of the GOOD exclusives of te 360. Man what wil i argue with now? People(in SW and in my city) ask why should i get the 360 over the PS3? I already have a gaming PC, but i used to say dead rising, mass effect, halo 3 and the multiplats. Now most of the argument is down the drain. Now i will say dead rising and halo 3, while they will say Killzone 2, MGS4, FFXII, LBP and unchartered. WTF shall i argue with now??? HULK smash!bigevil_rashekDont worry, there are still plenty of exclusives for the system, and you get the titles before the inevitable PC versions. If you would rather the PC version trade your 360 one owards them.
As for the PS3 getting more exclusvies - bound to happen, pretty much why I chose a PS2 first last gen. Just so happens that teh PS3 has been very slowley gaining momentum - in my opinion it would be the best idea to pick one up when the price is a bit lower and a few more exclusives are out. IMO the Wii is currently a better option - but thats a different matter.
Im in pretty much the same position as you. If you go just for the 360 multiplat titles, you could simply sell your 360 - but you would be missing out on 360 early releases and exclusives.
Im still happy to own the system.

I have to say that's a good idea !!
Its great to vary titles - New, Classic, Indie, Mods in my opinion. Right now im pretty much switching from COD4, to Fallout to Warsow to a variety of modifitactions - and a bit of sanbox2 editor for good mesaure. As Pro_wrestler said - each to his own.
And many see the gaming PC a reason not to get a 360.Meh....you'll pay more for the PC/PS3 combo than you will for a PS360 combo.
While cows see the PC as the reason not to buy an x360, I see the x360 as a reason not to get a gaming PC.
LosDaddie
PC you pay for what you get - current hardware that dominates the consoles, the most exclsuives (by far) and aaa, aa titles, better online bla bla bla and its a computer.
Having a PS3 as a secondary is simply a good option.
The 360 vs PC - either with a PS3 simply boils down to what games you like and if you rather PC or console gaming.
