Why is everything that's not on a PS console "overrated" to cows? You haven't given a single reason why they're overrated. I'm not going to argue against this, because in my eyes the word "overrated" is now a substitute for a real argument from people like you.

No need to stay on the xbox. These guys developed Baldurs Gate(AAA, 9.2), Baldurs Gate 2 ( AAA, 9.2), and Neverwinter Nights ( AAA,9.2).

maybe the oblivion freaks(not saying that in a bad way) will pick this game up. but all these hardcore 360 fans who primarly play shooters will get this game and think its crap then take it back or sell it for another game. they are just hyping it now cause its one of the few exclusives that look good. this game is not a shooter. its a rpg wanna be shooter that is going to flop in many lemmings eyes because most of themare huge FPS fans(me being one of them)this game will not be game of the year im not even sure it will be nominated. personally i think gta4 will get that but thats my opinion. unreal tournament 2007 will sell better then mass effect. every new shooter coming out for the 360 might even sell better then mass effect. looking at my crystal ball now

You know I find it strange you would say this when it has been shown that games like Oblivion have sold on the 360. And what seemed to be the most wanted games coming out for the 360 arent shooters. But its hard not to find games today that dont have guns in it in some form. (Halo 3 of course is one of the most hyped this year for the 360.)

I also find it strange that the most hyped games coming this year or the begining of next year on the PS3 are shooters.

There are 360 games selling on the 360 that arent shooters in the normal sense. And not just alittle but in the Millions range.

The fact anyone would call any console only having a certain type of gaming crowed is silly.

This year has sucked when it comes to rpgs and everyone is hungry as hell to see something.

yes i think thats the main reason they think its good. its not a shooter at all. if you like those type of games you might like mass effect. but looking at the fan base all together of 360 community. they will not like it

I think mass effect will flop in that it wont meet these outrageous expectations people have for the game. I absolutely fell in love with the plot (what they gave anyway) and the ideas it brings to the FPS/RPG hybrid mechanic. However, I think that it will have a lot of annoying things like that conversation system, which will not work well imo, and it seems to me that the plot's finer points will become tiresome, especially with that vast number of alien species.

A must have game, but I think there are other, better rpgs coming out this year, on ps3 and 360

quite good. i didn't care as much for the theme as i did the others but it was still very enjoyable.

I think the game will be critically acclaimed but I don't expect it to sell well at all. The timing of its release coincides with much stronger competition, and games that have more appeal to a broader audience.the-very-best

It's kind of hard for people to get their head around it, but if you want a next gen RPG, the 360 right now is the console to own. That may change after the release of Final Fantasy XIII, but it may not.

Enough people bought Oblivion to prove there is an audience for RPG's among the 360 owners. Mass Effect has the potential to do very well. I for one think it looks killer and will pre-order itsoon.
