Oh wow I don't know what to say to this.
Whats there to be said? There is no come back. Gordon Freeman is quite possibly has the least personality of any character I've ever played. There is not character development. He has no personality.
Face it, if you think Gordan is better than Maserchief, your just a rabid Halo hater.
You're kidding me right? Oh god ignorance makes my head hurt so hard...
I love Halo. I also love Half-Life (I know,I must be an alien). I do think that Gordon Freeman is an amazing character though. The fact that he doesn't speak adds another degree of mystery to the game. It allows the player to imagine themselves as Gordon when they're playing, helped by the fact that the game has no cutscenes.
Do you understand or did I go too fast for you?
Im ignorant because you think a silent protagonist adds mystery?
Yeah that makes complete sense.
So Im sure the lack of dialouge deffinatly helps make the lifeless Gordon Freeman such a deep and interesting character.
Thanks for being an **** hole by the way.
No you're ignorant because you said that anyone who disagrees with you is a rabid halo hater. That is really ignorant.
No it isnt.
Prove me wrong. What actually makes him a good character?
Oh my god. It's funny how you called me an **** hole, but I'm only being rude to you because you are completely clueless. Seriously how hard is it to understand someone can have a different opinion.
I love Halo but I think Gordon Freeman is a much better character. Read Subzero's post.
Sure, have a different opinion, but at least back it up with something more meaningful than "it makes him mysterious".
What? Didn't you read the rest of my post? Didn't you read Subzero's post?
Gordon is mute because the player assumes the role of him. By doing this, you alone can give Gordon more personality than any other character. The game feels alot more emotional when you witness a sad event as yourself, rather than another character (Episode 2's ending).
I realise that. DUH!!
DUH!!!
DUH!!!
And it's for that reason he's a piss poor character.
Im not saying that it's a bad thing, but theres no dodging the fact that for that choice of design, he is a lame boring character.
