Also why are people hating on Infamous, it sold well by any standards, but for a few days worth of sales?-Pred-Alien-Infamous did pretty good I guess but do you think it will sell more this month than last? I remember when Killzone 2 came out also at the end of the month it sold pretty well too but the following month it sold less which kinda didn't make sense.

Maybe Sony should send out a memo, stating to customers that their Blu ray player can actually play games.

"INFAMOUS SONY PS3 175.9K"
Why does anyone bother making exclusives for PS3 any more?

Especially the exclusive ones, like Infamous!

It makes no sense to compare Killzone 2 and inFAMOUS. Killzone 2 was being hyped for years inFAMOUS got hype for like two months and shared it with Prototype. People are still waiting to decide which one to get.
Thanks to overseas sales. :P But I'm still shocked it managed to sell just "meh" in North America. Sony really failed on the marketing, imo.
Killzone 2 still managed to reach 2mil, its like LBP it may not be selling huge numbers but its constantly selling so it keeps adding up.EVOLV3

PS3 games do not sell in the US. This is what I have noticed month after month. Even MGS4 only managed 1 million in the US.
Whoops, accidently clicked "Close" instead of "Sticky". Don't mind me. :P

I was asking myself why it was locked :P
We can pretend it never happened ;)
Anyway... Who don't have a PS2 by now?... really? :|
served sony right for doing all the wrong things,
they were so eager to push an unwanted format ,, on their ps3 to make it harder for gamers to get ahold of one at such bad market times,
i dont think sony will go sega but they will learn a hard lesson, much like nintendo
inFAMOUS got tapped out by UFC. :( That stinks.
BioShockOwnz
Yea but its a multiplat game that was out for 2 weeks in may infamous 1.
Yeah, until the Wii gets a price drop... think of the Wii sales then. :oMicrosoft is getting closer and closer to Wii sales each month. Hmmm. Do I see a trend here.

[QUOTE="nintendo-4life"] lol Wii still outsells it :PPS3_3DO
damn that pesky Wii
Motion Control is the selling point. The 360 next year is going to have that. :D
All 3 will. Let's see how the applications and marketing affect the sales.Yes because selling 176K of a new IP in one week is fail. I agree Sony should quit gaming. Oh and while we're at it Nintendo should quit gaming too, Punchout which was on the market for 2.5 weeks only sold 160K. So you fail too Nintendo. Because we know all sales numbers should be measured by Wii Play Numbers."INFAMOUS SONY PS3 175.9K"

I think I hear a sinking ship in the distance.NintendoBoy1996So do I. If that ship sounds like a company supporting 3 systems boasting 100K+...
All 3 will. Let's see how the applications and marketing affect the sales.Episode_EveBut Sony has had it from the start though. :P

I was expecting Punch-Out to be on top but 160K for its popularity and on a console with a larger install base...?
it's ridiculous how badly the PSP sells it's one of the best handhelds ever and it's been getting more announcements lately than any of the consoles. yet it still gets ignoredhy4k
At least japan loves it.
It wasn't a full month for the game tho.Jesus, InFamous only sold 175K?
It really is depressing to see quality games sell bad :(

Yeah you're right.
I hope sales start to pick up soon.
I'd like it to have sold more too, but I believe it was released on May 26th. A lot of PS3 games have started off slow then gone on to sell well. Uncharted is a prime example.Jesus, InFamous only sold 175K?

But Sony has had it from the start though. :P Oh yeah lol. But nowhere near to the development/marketing focus and responsiveness as it is now.[QUOTE="Episode_Eve"] All 3 will. Let's see how the applications and marketing affect the sales.Stevo_the_gamer

It helps that it gets like zero marketting. If I remember correctly, PSP was selling at it's best around the time of the 2000-upgrade. At that time, it had a really strong Ad-Campaign. I expect it to get better around the time Go! is released, but yeah, lack of ads, showcasing the games on the system really hurts it. With the DS, there's ads appealing to everyone "Core Gamers", young kids, girls, older women, etc. If Sony wants the PSP to sell like the DS they need to follow Nintendo's lead.
