I agree with DriveClub being bad, but it happens to all. Too Human comes to mind with Silicone Knights. I dont blame MS for that as I dont blame Sony for DriveClub.

I thought TLOU had online problems. I believe it did and it's nothing complex like Halo's matchmaking system.

I agree with DriveClub being bad, but it happens to all. Too Human comes to mind with Silicone Knights. I dont blame MS for that as I dont blame Sony for DriveClub.

Well, it's 343. It's not Bungie.

Let's be honest, 343 is still learning and after Halo 4 I lowered my expectations to a high B / AA tier developer. They are good, but they aren't kick ass great yet, and that's the honest truth.

They are doing the best they can can, but they aren't Bungie. They never were if it wasn't apparent with Halo 4, it's clearly evident with this remastered collection of Halo games. I know for a fact that many gamer's faith in Halo is due to Bungie's previous work, but I'm hoping 343 get to where people expect.

343 is not horrible or bad company. They are good...but every one of their releases leaves a large amount of fans something to be desired.

Right now, Halo MCC (containing 3 Bungie classics) is 89/100 at Meta.

343's first and true original creation: Halo 4 landed at a 87/100 once the dust settled.

Again, this proves they are good/great devs, but they are just shy of Halo legendary developers that Bungie hit once upon a time. As a matter of fact, all of Bungie's MAIN Halo games (Halo 1, 2, 3, Reach) were all 90+/100 AAA rated at metacritic. No developer is perfect, and but Bungie and Halo were like Peanut Butter and Jelly. Also, I was very disappointed with Destiny, so my faith in new Activision Bungie is shook up, but this post is about previous Bungie. I'm not saying Bungie didn't launch with issues, they did, but despite the flaws, the games were great enough to hit the acclaimed AAA status with critics. Before the big butthurt comes a rockin', realize I'm not trolling, but trying to make a point that this Halo MCC news doesn't shock me as much as it shocks other gamers on this board. The first clue was Halo 4, then the second clue was massive 20GB update for MCC news a few months back, the next was no huge push on public betas for this collection, and now here we are.

It will all work out, I have faith in that I'm happy to see that 343 apologized for the many Master Chief Collection bugs and issues...but I'm just saying I'm not surprised by all the 343 news I've been reading at various sites about Halo MCC collection SP and MP problems.

True. Big launches are rough, but betas help. Perhaps 343 should have rolled out huge Halo MCC Betas this year with the public. At any rate, as I said, I like 343, but I don't love them. Not yet. Looking forward to Halo 5. I would love for them to become better than Bungie ever was, if they are able. I just don't confuse hopes with my experiences.

I'm happy to see that 343 apologized for the many Master Chief Collection bugs and issues. That means they are working at it fast instead of ignoring the problems. Remember, these bugs range from Singleplayer, to game specific bugs, and of course online bugs. It's all over the place.

Here's a list of some reported so far (the game is a day old):

Game Specific Bugs & Single Player:

Halo CE:

- Audio in Single Player is flawed. Loops sometimes forever/overlapping/different tracks playing at the same time/wrong sounds (More..).

- Completed Single Player games sometimes don't save.

- When playing co-op campaign, it seems impossible to finish a mission. The game is always disrupted with disconnects (More...).

H2A:

- Campaign seems to randomly crash when attempting to start a mission.

H3:

- One user reports that he can't play Halo 3 at all. No single or multiplayer. Game freezes at the loading screen. As this happens only with one user so far we need more people confirming this here...

Mixed:

- Cross game singleplayer playlist skips mission (specifically Mission 6 on "Normal")

- The Master Chief Collection sometimes responds poorly to snapping. This behavior has exhibited crashing, freezing, and persistent significant frame drops.

- These are only a few things that happened to me and the players I played with last night. Please add more.

Matchmaking bugs:

- If you switch between the playlists you lose your party most of the time. You can't take your party and often don't get asked if you want to.

- Sometimes the teams get shuffled during the loading screen. E.g If you are with friends in the "red" team while voting for the map it doesn't mean you are in the same team when the game starts. "Team formulation" seems very broken (More...).

- Colors/Emblems, etc. is not available in Matchmaking and you just get a generic/random emblem.

- It doesn't give priority to your party when creating the teams. I've played about 10 Team Slayer games and most of the time was in the opposite team of my friend.

- Big Team Battle description says it's 8vs8, but it's only 6vs6.

- Rank up bug that let's you get the highest rank via a Matchmaking/Custom Game bug. Details: http://redd.it/2lyo3c

Custom Game bugs:

- Team colours shuffle after each game. And because changing team colours is now a 4-5 step process this is very annoying.

- Settings shuffle if you make some changes after the game and you have to setup everything again.

- You can't join a game after it started. It always says it's full, even if it isn't.

- The game gives the host randomly to players depending on the game. We played a few H2A games with a perfect and lag-free host. When we switched to H2C with the same players the game was suddenly unplayable, because it gave the host to someone else.

Other problems / missing features:

- Game chat randomly doesn't work for some players. Many people meet in parties.

- Players randomly disconnect from the game.

- The game freezes sometimes during the loading screen. Often after a game ends.

- You can't see the ping in matchmaking or custom game. In any game. This is really important.

- Changing the team colour is now a 4-5 step process. We were able to press "x" and could right away change the team. Now you have to press "X" to open the roster. Scroll to your gamertag and select it with "A". Then choose "Change Color" from four different options with "A". Then select the colour and leave the menu again.

- Loading times for maps seem extremely long. It also doesn't seem to preload the map like it always did.

- The roster doesn't work right. It often doesn't show anyone or only a few of the people that are online and sometimes you can't invite players. Sometimes the game get's unresponsive/freezes after using the roster or a snapped app.

- You can't see anymore who's talking in game. This used to be an important feature in previous games. Now you are in matchmaking with new players and just have to "guess".

- You can't see who is wearing a mic unless they speak.

- Less customization options for game type settings in custom games.

- There should be an option to turn off (or at least lower the volume of) the menu music. It used to be only in the main menu in the past, but now it's everywhere and just far too loud.

- The roster always shows 1/16 players for every group/friend, even if they play with more people,

True, I've played every single Bungie developed Halo at launch (& Halo 4) and been involved in various Halo betas...but remember, the list of bugs is all over the place from SP to MP in this. Bungie was more polished when it came to issues. Part of their success was Beta testing, and a lot of it. This game has SP issues as well.

I'm sure it will all be fine by next month in time for Xmas breaks for the kids.

I don't play these online, most of the people playing fps online are... well, assholes. Love the SP on these, playing HALO 4 for the first time, it's great.

Its not ok but its also not a big deal yet. there is still more than plenty of content available to play on the MCC. DriveClub's fuckup was way worse considering how thing that game is with content and then it causing Sony to push back the PS+ version again, something they promised would be available when the game was announced and have been hyping that.

actually it is kind of a big deal.

ive had the game since yesterday and i can count how many multiplayer games ive played on both hands.

the rest of the time is just waiting.......and waiting.....and hoping i can connect to a match.

i love the campaign but that's not why i bought this game.

i bought this to play big team battle dammit!!! :P

this sucks..

matchmaking *slowness* is hardly a big issue for big releases.. COD has them every year. This has 4 multiplayer games x 7 million playlists, this will be resolved by week's end at the latest.. yawn.

I warned people... Especially when I got the Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary for 360... It was a buggy mess. I never did put more then an hour or so into it.

Plus the 3D was freaken horrible... It made my eyes literally want to bleed in pain.

People should have known... When there is GB's worth of patch on launch... It was a sign of a half assed job.

They should just recall the game wait another 6 months to a year and re-release it.

A beta of a game a year out from release which is likely to be testing the online and the new gameplay elements rather than graphics? That is your evidence? Not saying it won't be 720p, but that isn't exactly proof since at the current point they'll want the game to run well so they'll likely be lowering graphics so it's playable and then worrying about increasing graphical fidelity. But you know, let's ignore logic.

At least it was released on time and although it has a big update you can still get the full package on launch day unlike a PS4 exclusive I'll not mention.

Only issue or bug I've come across to this point is the matchmaking. Everything else has worked flawlessly. Waiting 4 - 5 mins to try and get into a match online is complete bullshit though.
