Media Create Japan Sales April 2-8: PS Vita Officially Dead

The numbers are in!

This is probably officially the end of the road for the PS Vita, selling under 10,000 units.

The PSP on the other hand is doing great on the software front, while the 3DS is predicatbly dominating the charts on both (especially on the hardware front, where it sold more than every other system on the chart put together. Again), the software and the hardware fronts.

Every system dropped except for 360 because of the system seller Kinect game.

Vita needs just a game or two or three for the Japanese. Everyone forgets that the ugly looking fat DS was out selling the PSP by a lot as well.

Vita just doesn't have any games this time around, so the margin is better. And the 3DS having Kingdom Hearts and Monster Hunter doesn't help the Vita at all.

Still has a better chance, a much better chance, than the Xbox 360 does for sure. XD The PS3 also did horrible in sales until a year after release or so. If I remember correctly, it was being outsold by the PS2 that whole first year.
