Which makes MGS 4 the most contrived out of all of them. By far.

Reading minds and taking bullets to the head is nothing, you have the flying with bees thing though, still that doesn't come close to the cheesy garbage in this game. I don't know why Kojima couldn't have just finished making it, his vision is the best and that's what all the fans wanted. We didn't want a lame dev like PG ruining the franchise.

In terms of how over the top a game is being taking a bullet to the head is nothing, not sure why you compared that to real life, and that scene doesn't compare to using missles as a staircase :| . Not to mention platinum isn't even using regular MGS gameplay, they using this full hard on action garbage.

these comments are ridiculous. Who other than Kojima/konami have the right to say what is or isn't a metal gear game. This is why many say gamers are self entitled whiners. We don't create the games, so we don't decide what it is or isn't. We only decide to buy or not. cainetao11

That's not a healthy attitude, man.. Developers create games for gamers foremost, and if the gamers love it, then they'll get a profit. Those devs are much more dependent on us, then we are of them.

I don't see any self entitlement issue just because some fans criticize a series entry that dramatically changes direction. It's kind of expected, given that this series has ben, in general, stealth - action. I think this entry is gonna be incredibly good tho, since i'm a Platinum fan.

I still want to know how in depth the stealth is in regards to noise, security threats, and takedown options; Like if it's just instant kills like sc conviction, or a measly 2 way street *lethal/non lethal*. That'll be the deciding factor for me on if I get it. I did like the mini gecko hack ability though. I thought that was actually pretty neat.

The bosses seem alright. Not liking too much of what I saw in terms of the actual fights, but they look like they could be interesting characters in general.

Well honestly, I doubt it. There's a good chance that the start of levels will allow it, but I'm guessing it'll get pretty action-y from there. I can see a couple of stealth based missions though, where the layout is designed for stealth the entire time. Of course, those are just my guesses, but it is PG, and they're all about action so I'm just putting 2&2 together. Pretty much why the thing I want to know most about is the depth of stealth.

Fingers crossed for hopes being fulfilled.

It was awesome when Raiden slides into an enemies legs knocking him into the air just so he can go blade mode while sliding under him to dice him.

This game is a dream come true.

This looks absolutely fantastic. It'll probably be the first Metal Gear game I play

I'm pleased that its coming out on PC, hopefully it's buttery smooth. Heil68

Still not very insterested on the game because I mostly play MGS games for the story and the insane attention to detail while MGR looks like Vanquish with a sword, cheesy story and everyting. But at least the gameplay looks much better and faster than the DMC reboot. In fact, this game feels more like DMC than the NT reboot.

Dude its a spin off, Its using the MGS universe but its not traditional MGS, sort of like how Paper mario is not a "Mario game" its a spin off of Mario using the mario universe.

but this one looks way more generic and cheap. IDK what was the point of PlatGames asking Kojima to make the game if they were going to make it like this, they could have done a new IP instead. Metal Gear nor Raiden are so mindless as to make a pure hack and slash out of it and with crappy story. I mean, Raiden doesn't even likes to kill and here he goes all out on every enemy and killing/dismembering everything in sight.

I'm pre-ordering this.

Definite will buy. I think the novelty of the dismemberment will not last all that long though. One slice and next. The boss battle look like they might be a lot of fun.
