MGS4 and FF13 can not and WILL NOT save the PS3.

Lets just cut right to the chase. MGS and FF games have not been the primary reasons the PS systems did so well. They were nothing more then added bonuses. Look at FF and MGS sales they were not like god almighty system sellers.

The real dilemma and i mean DILEMMA for PS3 now is just it's entire game library. This is what made PS1 and PS2 so successful. This has all changed. The 360 has the big game library now and it's just not games it's AAA games and the public knows this now. This is why PS3 struggles and will continue to struggle. MGS4 and FF13 will be nothing more then a sales blip of an increase and then after a week or so will go back to the struggling PS3 that is has been and will continue to be.

Meanwhile why PS3 awaits these titles and delays. 360 just keep gathering and enormous plethora of AAA games. And the public has clearly seen the light on this.

How much you want to bet MS will release Banjo Threeie and Gears Of War 2 next holiday. And Game Over once again for Sony next holiday season.

Is a matter of FACT GEars is so poperlur now If MS releases Gears 2 next Holiday MGS4 and FF13 would be overshadowed by the general consumer. And Gears would be the big hot game to have for the Holidays.

There is a huge difference, Lair, HS,Warhawk, etc. are new IPs and they aren't system sellers. MGS4, GT5, FFXIII, etc. are iconic mega titles witha huge fanbaseand areDEFINITELY SYSTEM SELLERS.

Keep this in mind also. Developers already know what they can do and how much easier it is to do on the 360. And the user base. Next year PS3 do have a GREAT line up...We know FF is great games, They always are (okey not XI and X-2) But other than that they are great. With 120 million PS2's sold, MGS3 only sold 3 million copies. This is not as heavy of a hitter as people are making it out to be.

and im not a cow, i'll have both systems tomorrow. Point is the xbox 360 has a bunch of unknowns coming into 08 while ps3 does have the big4 coming (hopefully in 08 but definetly by early 09) god of war 3, final fantasy 13, gran turismo 5, msg 4 and depending on your taste and if there is a pricedrop, the people on the fence about the ps3 will likely buy one for these huge franchises.

GTA4 and DMC4 don't belong on your list. Also, I won't deny that the 360 has a solid 2008 lineup, but it just doesn't even come close to the PS3's lineup.

The real dilemma and i mean DILEMMA for PS3 now is just it's entire game library. This is what made PS1 and PS2 so successful. This has all changed. The 360 has the big game library now and it's just not games it's AAA games and the public knows this now. This is why PS3 struggles and will continue to struggle. MGS4 and FF13 will be nothing more then a sales blip of an increase and then after a week or so will go back to the struggling PS3 that is has been and will continue to be.

Meanwhile why PS3 awaits these titles and delays. 360 just keep gathering and enormous plethora of AAA games. And the public has clearly seen the light on this.

How much you want to bet MS will release Banjo Threeie and Gears Of War 2 next holiday. And Game Over once again for Sony next holiday season.

Is a matter of FACT GEars is so poperlur now If MS releases Gears 2 next Holiday MGS4 and FF13 would be overshadowed by the general consumer. And Gears would be the big hot game to have for the Holidays.

I'm sorry but that xbox list is pathetic...Ninja Gaiden 2 i'll give you, forza 2 wasn't much fun, PGR is good but Gran Turismo destroys both of them, DOA5? LOL! Gears 2 isn't announced. I'm buying a ps3 tomorrow (payday) and I do enjoy my 360, but they better start naming off some big games for 2008 or it is going to continue to fall behind.

Point is the xbox 360 has a bunch of unknowns coming into 08 while ps3 does have the big4 coming (hopefully in 08 but definetly by early 09) god of war 3, final fantasy 13, gran turismo 5, msg 4 and depending on your taste and if there is a pricedrop, the people on the fence about the ps3 will likely buy one for these huge franchises.

Oh boy GT5 FF13 MGS4 First off this is the FINAL MGS game. So then what cows? Ok FF 13 hmm most argue it has been hit or miss since FF7 so that franchise is BUSTED OLD. And GT5 oh WOW they will finaly come into the realization of adding online and damage. Why Forza has been doing this for years now.

So please spare me the PS3 owns 08 BS. It will not own anything but getting a few more Sony reps fired most likely.

I guess their selling crystal balls with consoles nowadays because everyone seems to know that certain games are going to be bona fide hits. Just remember this time last year, there were other titles on those line up lists that were going to be smash hits and system sellers. Games like:

Very, verydoubtful that GOW III will come out next year. And there's no solid release date for FF13 either.

MGS4 and GT5 are the only games guaranteed to come out next year. And the GT series has been known to miss release dates.

Also, expect MS to drop the price of the x360 next year around GTA4's release.

1st off, the 360 only beat out the ps3 in japan by like a couple of hundred systems do mind you that the psp was actually outselling the almighty ds in japan by huge quantities at one point and now the ds is back at top. Secondly, the release of the 40 gig ps3 and DW6 totally destroyed the abysmal sorry sales of the 360 in japan. Last but not ;east, didn't the ps3 outsell the 360 this week in europe??!?!!!

No they havent flopped but Lair did. They havent been Big titles like Halo or Gears but they have been good games.

U have your reasons for bashing ps3 games and I guess thats just your personal reasons but as an owner of both a ps3 and xbox 360, I will have to dissagree with u. How u gonna say these 2 games are going to be toppled by one game? I mean seriously, only reason Gears got GOTY that year was because there were no competition for it, I mean u really gonna sit there and be satisfied that it beat out some launch titles from the ps3 and wii? I mean dont get me wrong, gears was a good game and had amazing graphics that set the bar at its time but when it came out, the ps3 and wii barely made it out for launch. Now if gears were to come out now, I dont think it would stand a chance against the big titles that are out now. MGS4 and FF13 will do just fine and will move tons of units, if u dont think so then u prolly never have played any of these games to know why they are great franchises.
